Apparently Triple H and Vince McMahhon really are high on CM Punk. The current plan is to have him debut during the main even of Unforgiven and cost Cena the title, thus having him brought in with a high profile feud against him. He's supposedly going to play a jaded fan of Cena's ala Stan (from one of Eminem's songs) who never got an autographed CD/letter/whatever they're gonna say and is now out to top Cena and ruin his music and wrestling career. Sounds like a good way to bring him in and get him on the M.E. scene fast. The straight edge thing...I dunno hopefully they can work it in later, but yeah he gets to the top of the company pretty fast this way.
