Should I restart the old caption contest?
 

Well I remember back in the good old days before c-feds and everything the cool thing to do was to do captions. I know loopy headed it for a long time, and had a great system going, but then WWE switvhed it's server and all the pictures were lost, then it was kinda tossed around to gonmad but all the real good captioneers seemed to move onto bigger and better things. Loopy, Corky, El Santo, LC occasionally, Paul all the BIG names used to do it because I think it was a competition.

So I think we should restart the competition. I guess I'll use loopy's old rules with some possibly slight changes.

Captions are posted each week ect. then at the end of the month, me and my asscosiates will go through and pick out the best ones. Prob top 10 or so. A poll will be made and you can vote on the best caption of the month. Winner and nominnes for that matter will get a prize, not sure what, but it will be good.

So what do you say? I figger we could start off at SS and go from there. Restart the caption contest or no?

Actually, Corky was the one who used to run it.

But, yeah, do it. This might inspire me to do more than one set a month.

captions used to be such a big part of the wrestling forum :(

if ur gonna do it, stay dedicated to it, and do it properly. if you can do that, then why not

And this should give some new guys the chance to go up against the old "big guns". I remember caption crew from earlest TPWW days. :'(

God, those times were horrible. :nono: If possible, bring it back and make it like it used to be.

The captions in early-to-mid 2004 were great. The running gags, though repetitive, were always a good source of humor.

Just had a Caption Crew memory. Anyone remember when Corky, LC, and I swapped avatars and Custom Titles and posted like each other (me like LC, Corky like me, LC like Corky) for a couple of days?

oh man, the invisible Stevie Richards. :'( That joke was (and still is) beaten to death so many times, and it is still funny as ever. And loopy your avatior, wasn't there a Violet Bearugaurd joke that went with that?
