Interesting Hogan comments....
I was just reading the Toronto Sun and they were basically hyping up Summerslam. But their were some interesting comments by Hulk Hogan in it
In regards to him using his backstage influence in matches: "I have always wanted to be a team player and I have gone along with some bad scripts ideas. For example, I was on a major role in WWF when they told me to drop the belt to the Warrior at Wrestlemania. I did not think it was a good idea but I went along with. By the time I came back from shooting a movie they were begging me to take the title back. "In WCW, Vince Russo was pushing the young blood, Billy Kidman beat me three weeks in a row and that could have turned into a major disaster but I went along with it" On whether he prefers to be a face or a heel: "I prefer to be a face because that's what I have been most of my career. It was really hard on my kids when people shouted "You suck, Hogan". It was fun being a heel as it was something different. |
I did like the Billy Kidman feud however.
|
Hogan is an idiot.
|
I don't remember the Kidman feud, but I remember they touched on that subject in Death of WCW. They said that even though Hogan jobbed to him, he didn't exactly put him over.
|
yea and i'm sure they did'nt beg him to take the wwf title back because it's pretty damn obviuous warrior was a draw back then

I liked that feud as well. Yeah, even though Kidman beat Hogan, he wasn't put over at all. Kinda like what WWE does today, after that match up, he was in a viagra on a pole match up.

Someone's a little full of themseleves aren't they. I hope HBK kicks his ass
"You suck, Hogan" |

Diesel is a perfect example of that. |
I remember the [kidman] feud I was wondering why they had kidman going over. I even almost caught a T-shirt that kidman threw in to the crowd.

Since The Rock left HHH is the only draw they have, with out H raw sux. Have you seen Raw lately?

Warrior wasn't a major draw because he wasn't capable enough of holding the Title [wrestling wise], and because WWF was in such a rush to put the belt on him, they forgot to have any heels lined up to work with him.
He had those couple of small programs, but they didn't build up any major / serious heels that could face him - thus Slaughter making the turn and being the turnover Champion to get the belt back on Hogan. They knew that with Warrior, they didn't have any credible opponents for him to be a draw against [like Hogan did with Piper, Orndorff, etc.] - but with Hogan, it didn't matter, as people were coming to see him, not really caring who he was facing. The Undertaker wound up with the belt in another attempt to build up a desperately needed heel, as they were doing with Flair at the time. Kinda right place, right time. HOWEVER, Warrior was a big merchandise mover, and without a doubt for a short time he was a draw. He still remains a major merchandise machine, but isn't the crossover type star or as big of a merchandising asset that Hogan is. |

I'd rather have the show concentrating on Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan and HBK than Triple H any day of the week.

I'm willing to bet "Hogan" stands infront of a mirror each day posing and complimenting himself while saying Brother!
|
The way the Hogan/HBK match ended last night is far worse than any of the storylines he mentioned combined. Apperantly the boot is like 3 rock bottoms through 4 stacked flaming tables.
