Bringing back Eugene
 

Storyline suggestion:

After a few weeks, have a segment where good ol' Christy walks up to Uncle Eric and asks him where Eugene is at. EB responds by saying Eugene is going through some radical genetic/electrical/whatever therapy and should be back soon.

Eugene comes back, but he looks radically different. Hair cut, shaved...normal. Bu the acts a little off; he snaps at people who refer to him as Eugene ("It's GENE Dinsmore " he says)..stuff like that. he even picks up a copuple wins with some illegal moves..nothing overt, though.

Christy Hemme however doens't really notice. And we get a scene backstage where she tells (eu)Gene how much she appreciates all the times he's been there for her and that she really cars for him. Hopefully...they can be more than 'just firends' The tow embrace and the camera pans back, where Gene gives us a conniving smile.

Next week, we see Christy walking backstage to Gene's locker room. He opens the door, looking like he just ran a marathon. Christy says that "I know you're getting ready for your match, i just wanted to thank you for last night..it was AMAZING." Clearly, Gene lays the pipe. But as she walks off, Torrie or some other heel diva walks up behind him in a state of undres and asks "Who was that?" "Nobody. C'mon...we still got a couple minutes bfore the match" Again...Gene lays the pipe.

Thatnight, Gene teams up with Shelton to get a win over some damn team...Gene cheats and Shelton isn't too pleased. They argue after the
match.

Next week, Christy walks in on a diva bullshit session. They're all laughing at something,. Christy wonders what..."Honey, we have to tell you something about your boyfriend" Women can't keep their mouth shut.

Later on, we see Gene embabrassing whichever girl was in his dressing room last week. This wasn't a relationship thing, clearly Gene is just a heartbreaking dirt bag.

After a match, Christy confronts Gene, maybe even playing a video of some of their happier moments when he was retarded. She pours her heart out to him.,..he responds by teasing the reunion, then bitch-slapping her. It looks likes he's about to beat her into the ground when Shelton makes the save (face pop!).

I'm writing this out quick, but this would turn Eugene heel, we'd get to see a feud between the real Dinsmore and Benjamin, which would be genius in the ring...plus if Dinsmore can be effective playing a tard I think he has the chops to add little nuances like a heel Gene being "not quite right" like the therapy didn't stick all the time like it should. Plus, as Shelton heklps out Christy, a relationship develops and we get the obligatory angry redneck reaction to a mixed couple ...always entertaining.

Nick (Gene) Dinsmore vs Shelton would be pure gold.

Only way this works is if Christy's on RAW...wait...she got traded.

Something tells me we'll get Eugene return as Nick Dinsmore on RAW without any explaination, or he'll join Christy Hemme on SD! for no logical reason other than "Eric Bischoff fired him". I personally would like to see a Chris Benoit vs. Nick Dinsmore feud for the WWE United States Championship. It would all ride on how effectively the writing team gets him out of the Eugene character, though.

Just do a "Shoot."

Of course, yoou'd have to explain why his sister was okay with that, but there's a lot of ways you can do that.
