Oh yeah. This is supposed to be from a purely mark standpoint. No smarkness please.

I tend to mark out for CM Punk moreso than anyone else these days.

CM Punk is great from a MArk standpoint? Who the fuck has heard of him outside "Smarkdom?"

Undertaker. Why? He always fucking dominates.

My vote is for Kurt Angle.

Here's a guy who has consistently made guys tap out since he became the shit during the Invasion. IMO Summerslam 2001 MADE Kurt Angle. And every year since he's been then he's been in a match worthy of Match of the YEar.

I said HHH because every mark knows that when he comes back he will be stronger than ever and win back the gold. They see HHH as the only guy who can win the belt and defend it on a consistant basis.

All of the marks I know think Undertaker is a fucking god.

Greatest, at a mark standpoint, has to be The Undertaker. He's been around so long, he dominates, and he has a cool gimmick. What's not to love when you're a mark?

The Rock, Goldberg, Triple H, HBK, and Sting have to go down as the top 5 wrestlers of all time ...forget hogan he's horrible and swears he beat HBK at SS.

Now, I guess HBK. HBK from a mark standpoint is over, and he is really liked in the ring by smarks on top of it all. He has it covered. Plus he actually really is good in the ring.

It's gotta be HHH, as much as we say we don't like him, he always makes you go WOW in the end.

Kurt Freakin' Angle. Mark/Smark no one can deny his godliness in and out of the ring.

Hulk Hogan is most probably from a mark's point of view, and right now it would be Cena, but really what marks don't mark out for deadgimmickman.

So I suppose my votes for the underweartaker.

Any mark I know thinks Batista is God's gift to wrestling

If I were a mark again, I'd love Batista. And he seems to be over with the majority of crowds too.

Batista is good, he actually looks like your stereotypical wrestler. He also does what he does really well, and I'd take him over Goldberg any day.

That being said, I selected Angle. There is no better ambassador for professional wresting than him. People buy into his legit ability, and who else gets thousands of people to say "You Suck" with just HIS ENTRANCE THEME.

I'm still missing out on how Kurt Angle is "greater" than the Deadman in his appeal to Marks. Taker still gets Austinesque reactions, where Kurt gets a loud chant of "You suck," But it's not really that large in comparison.

I have never heard anyone other than "Smarks" and "net fans" reference Kurt Angle in terms of wrestling. It's always "Austin," "Hogan," "Rock," "Undertaker," and occasionally "Michaels."

So what'mI missing? They don't play up Angle's dominance, and marks tend to forget that he's been doing good for himself. Taker, on the other hand, they remind you of how dangerous he is, even though they don't HAVE TO.

So I'm wondering...Am I missing something, or have I just managed to suppress my smarky feelings for angle, where others have not?

From a mark standpoint it would have to be that rappin WWE Champion John Cena since he is such on a major roll and is involved in a huge feud with Bischoff and has overcome so many odds

HHH. He does have his negative points when it comes to backstage politics maybe, but does give 200% in his in-ring work. I do like his character too though, I mean he doesn't really have a gimmick, but you know exactly what his intentions are and how he plans on doing it.

Batista

Nobody marks out like the moment UT saunters to the ring at a Wrestlemania and rolls his eyes back.

I voted other and chose Daniel Bryan. CM Punk is almost a tie but I really think that Bryan has more moves and doesn't rely on the same moveset for every match like Punk does. In ring grading only, obviously.

Daniel Bryan. Why is Shawn on the poll? He is not active, he is now a hunter and restaurant connoisseur.

From a MARKS stand point it has to be Cena......he 'beat' a former UFC Champion.

Undertaker mostly because of his longevity and the Wrestlemania streak becoming almost as big as Wrestlemania itself in recent years in terms of hype.

Obviously CM Punk most of these other dudes are far from being active.

Pretty mind blowing that at one time somebody thought Christopher Daniels was a viable poll option for greatest active wrestler in the world.
