Matches that should have made it to a Pay Per View Event

Yeah, I'm bored and was thinking about this. Basically name any wrestling matches that the WWE showcased on RAW, Smack Down, or even Heat and Velocity, that you believe should have been a Pay Per View calibur match the WWE could have profitted from.

A few matches that instantly come to my mind are...

Kurt Angle V. Ric Flair
Shawn Michaels V. Rob Van Dam
Goldberg V. Shawn Michaels

McLegend 08-29-2005 02:18 PM

HBK vs Shelton(RAW)

Angle vs Shelton(RAW

Christian vs Randy Orton(RAW)

Angle vs Rey Mysterio(SD)

Angle vs Jannety(SD)

hbk vs shelton was the 1st one that came to my mind

eddie vs rvd ladder match for the ic title

Another one thats a few years back was the Edge/Eddy Guerrero No disqualification match, that basically turned into a ladder match from Smackdown '02 I believe.

HBK/Edge Streetfight.....their match at RR was considerably worse.

Zen v.W.o. 08-29-2005 05:27 PM

Brian Pillman vs Steve Austin some time in 1997, or 1998 if things were different. Pillman would bitch slap him.

Angle vs Lesnar - Ironman match. Did not understand at all why they had this on a random Smackdown.

There has been various CW matches that were held on Heat before the ppv that could of quite easily been added to the card and would of greatly benefited the division.

There have been so many great matches on TV, but I don't think they should have been on PPV. You need great matches on TV occasionally, to you know, keep the show good.

I will say this, though, I really think the WWE has been mis-managing their PPV time. Summerslam ran about 20 minutes under schedule, so why not give another match time to take place on a big stage. Would it have hurt to have Theodore R. Long announce that since Chris Benoit beat Orlando Jordan so quickly, another SmackDown! match will take place. What match could have gone on? Um, how about William Regal vs. Scotty 2 Hotty.

Regal left Scotty alone to get beaten by The Mexicools, and then Scotty wanted revenge so he attacked William Regal on Velocity, but Regal escaped. Not the most epic story ever, but it is known that they want each other's blood. You then have Burchill debut on PPV, instead of Velocity. You have him beat down Scotty, maybe even hit him with the C4 (I really don't think that move is too dangerous), and you have introduced him to at least thrice as many people as you would have on Velocity.

Jeff Hardy vs Taker, ladder match for the title was payperview worthy, but i guess it was a better feeling just having it on raw
