He should win the title because if Edge is holding the title, Matt Hardy all of a sudden is a viable contender. I couldn't see Matt Hardy facing a John Cena or HHH and actually winning, but it would be a major spike in the feud if Edge was holding the title as well.

Think about it: Edge could use his briefcase the night after the upcoming paperview and take the title. The next week, Hardy would assault him, and then tell everyone that he was over Lita, but it wasn't over for Edge. He wants to leave Edge as nothing, and basically wants a title shot.

I think it would make this storyline even better. The only thing really bad about it that I could see is the title looking a bit weak on a guy like Matt Hardy. But it would be better than Edge.

After the last month or so, I think Edge would make a good champion, and can see him beating john cena at the raw ppv after SS, that's when i think he'll use the contract,but your idea about Matt Hardy and Edge for the title i disagree with.For storyline reasons i could see the reason behind it, but in reality Matt Hardy isn't good enough to main event and it would be overshadowed by an HHH main event.
