stupid full screen dvds

Seriously people should realize widescreen is better so they can stop making full screen dvds. Occasionally I'll buy a movie, I simply grab it assuming it's widescreen but not fucking dumb cunts have to have it full screen thus fucking me over. Needless to say I'm stuck with fullscreen dvd of "Crash.''

It's not that bad.

So basically, you're blaming other people for your negligence.

Good for you.

Dellaspro 09-07-2005 03:02 AM

I prefer full screen.

Funky Fly 09-07-2005 03:09 AM

Some movies only come in fullscreen.

Ong Bak. :'(

Boondock Saint 09-07-2005 04:13 AM

Full Screen sucks.

OAR all the way.

yeah, but I don't have a wide screen TV, and widening out the picture so you can see the 1/3 cutout makes my picture smaller, and the black bars distract me throughout a whole film

its not like much happens in the 1/3 anyway... but I see why people prefer wide screen, I guess I am just used to my old VHS :\

The Mask 09-07-2005 02:24 PM

i bought a chinese version of ong bak.

it's a bit weird, hearing thai films dubbed into chinese with mandarin subtitles.

Well, not that that's an unrealistic number or anything, but I'll let that slide. More to the point, most movies don't suffer from this anyway.

I prefer widescreen, but the difference is often minute in terms of actual content.

SuperSlim 09-07-2005 03:46 PM

I prefer widescreen as well

Xero 09-07-2005 03:51 PM

I prefer wide screen. My TV has a setting to make any A/V component wide screen, although it's not the same, as it just stretches the pictures...

My point remains valid, though.

Well, except that the difference between 1.85:1 and 1.33:1 isn't "A third on either side."

It's actually under a quarter combined. :)

I would, but it's got a restraining order.

I've got to stay at least 600 integers away.
