What's going on here then?

Former WWE wrestlers Mark Jindrak and Matt Morgan are present at tonight’s WWE SmackDown! taping.

Both men, who were released from WWE several months ago as part of the 20-man firing spree, were spotted this afternoon at the arena where SmackDown! is being held. They were seen buying tickets for the show and were being filmed by WWE cameras as part of an angle for the show. When asked by fans what they were doing, both declined to comment, but said that when they are ready to announce it, the fans would know.

It is most likely that the two were filming footage for an upcoming online reality project, which will be housed at www.markandmattlive.com/.
At first I thought the firings of Jindrak and Morgan were going to be another worked shoot like the whole Matt Hardy incident. Something along the lines of a disgruntled Jindrak and Morgan jumping over the barrier and attacking one of the Smackdown wrestlers halfway through the event.

But then the final paragraph threw me... whats this markandmattlive.com business? This is another 'thematthardyshow.com' thing? Good god! :nono:

Chavo Classic 09-07-2005 10:23 AM

Oh dear. Here's a shot of the said website...

I wonder what this is, and whether there is any affiliation to the WWE (judging by the inclusion of the logo in the frame)?

KingofOldSchool 09-07-2005 12:53 PM

Yeah because people care about Matt Morgan and Mark Jindrak.

Yeah, and people cared about Matt Hardy before he was fired...

I care about NOBODY! Get them off my TV! DIE! DIIIIEEEEE!!!!

:shifty:

Nah, not really. But seriously, that's just weird. I'm liking the whole idea of released wrestlers not being 100% gone. First Matt, now Matt and Mark. What next? Stay tuned!

This'll have a smaller fanbase than My anal sex webcam. :shifty:

I'm guessing their name starts with an "m

I can only hope that Rikishi never discovers the internet.

Jaton 09-08-2005 01:27 AM

But KK..everyone is a fan of that.

Corkscrewed 09-08-2005 02:08 AM

People didn't care about Flex Kavana or the Ringmaster, either.

Not to say that Morgan and Jindrak could achieve Rocky or Austin levels of superstardom, but to dismiss them simply because they were poorly booked is asinine.

Mark Jindrak was one of the best pure athletes on the WWE roster when he was released. The "Reflection of Perfection" gimmick had some momentum until they decided to turn Long into a babyface GM and drop Jindrak from US Title contention. Team Angle 2.0 has potential, too, until WWE completely dropped the ball with the inexplicable split. He was getting over as a babyface on Velocity at the time of his release. WWE went out of their way to bury him, and they succeeded. One of the few things WCW did well down the stretch was giving this guy an opportunity.

Matt Morgan is still pretty green, but that has more - in my opinion - to do with the fact that WWE kept insisting on calling him up before he was ready. Despite that, he moves well for a big man. He clearly has passion for the business if he was willing to continue with it after the injury took him out of Tough Enough. He was working well as the "strong, silent type" on Team Heyman, and the stuttering gimmick (though a terrible idea) was actually pretty entertaining. I hate to think that the reason Morgan got fired was because WWE couldn't do anything with him, because them sending Carlito to RAW was the reason he didn't have anything to do!

Okay, rant over.

Chavo Classic 09-08-2005 07:40 AM

Exactly. They shouldn't fire the wrestlers because the writers can't think of anything to do with them, they should fire the writers!

Mr. Nerfect 09-08-2005 08:02 AM

I got excited when I read that they might be brought back. For some reason, I think Matt Morgan and Mark Jindrak will do better on RAW than SmackDown!. Maybe as part of a new Evolution?

Morgan and Jindrak have been listed by guys as the future of the business (Morgan gets this more often than Jindrak), and if they bring in both guys with personalities, and don't, you know, make them stutter, I think they could make a slight impact.

Matt Hardy, Matt Morgan, Mark Jindrak & Matt Striker as a stable actually interests me.

Chavo Classic 09-08-2005 08:10 AM

I've got to agree with you there again Alienoid - I definately believe the WWE should hire you as a writer.

I hope this is some part of an elaborate angle again. The MattandMark.com website looks very professional and perhaps as if it was a creation of the wwe.com team. Perhaps this is another example of the WWE realising their mistake in firing these two young, talented grapplers. Is it any co-incidence (at least to the best of my memory) that these two guys are some of the few who haven't gone public and bitched about their release and the state of the WWE since their firings?

Morgan and Jindrak could lead a new nWo like stable in the WWE - claiming that they are still outsiders and are literally fighting against the WWE and its evil corporation that fired them. Add Matt Hardy to the mix and you've got yourself a gimmick and two and a half very talented individuals.

Destor 09-08-2005 08:18 AM

whose the half?

Chavo Classic 09-08-2005 08:20 AM

Matt Morgan - very green but with great potential

I've got to agree. But these are lean times, so they're likely looking for any excuse to can people. There's gold in them thar firings, but the WWE doesn't want to think of ways to use people. It's booking, but also laziness.

blake639raw 09-08-2005 12:56 PM

I thought Morgan was very likeable, and shouldn't have been released. Jindrak don't bother me as much. This shit looks retarted though. Morgan should go to TNA though. I think he has potential, and I would hate for him to quit wrestling so early.

Favre4Ever 09-08-2005 01:45 PM

Matt Morgan had been buried WAY before the stuttering gimmick- he was buried when Nathan Jones skipped town. I honestly think that the two of them could have done things to the tag division that would have kept guys like the heartthrobs off of television.

Destor 09-08-2005 02:13 PM

By the time they did the stuttering gimmick everyone had long forgotten the nathan jones angle.

And Matt Morgan.

I thought that was implied.
