The New Evolution?

Does anyone see Flair turning on HBK and reform Evolution with HHH, Carlito, and Chris Masters?

Jaton 09-07-2005 06:37 PM

I've thought about it.

Jaton 09-07-2005 06:41 PM

Seems like a WWE style swerve.

NoJabbaNoBogRoll 09-07-2005 06:43 PM

Carlito doesn't need it.

Masters, maybe.

Kane Knight 09-07-2005 06:43 PM

Carlito doesn't need it but Masters needs Carlito.

Somebody's Gotta Die 09-07-2005 06:43 PM

Carlito and Chris Masters aren't really as good as Randy Orton and Batista were when they got pushes in Evolution...

I can see Masters in there, though...

Maybe HBK and Flair can turn on some major faces like John Cena, Shelton and RVD and create a stable with HHH and Masters... :-\

Evolution made Batista and Orton. They were jobbers before they set foot in Evolution. The difference is that Carlito is already IC champion and is already established as one of the bigger heels on the show.

However, I dont think that Carlito's style would suit Evolution unless he played the role of the comedy 'black sheep' of the group, and thats not what Evo is really about. Masters on the other hand could be a good addition along with a disgruntled Shelton; tired of being overlooked by the WWE and denied another shot at winning back his WWE IC title.

I agree. Although it would be kind of funny. Carlito constantly pissing of HHH. Let's face it, its so obviously crossed most of our minds that it'll probably happen in 2 to 3 months. It'll probably work, though I'm not looking forward to it.

Kane Knight 09-07-2005 07:44 PM

Evolution was all abotu Cool. Carlito...Carlito knows cool.

V 09-07-2005 07:51 PM

imagine carlito in a suit... haha

Nark Order 09-07-2005 07:56 PM

Masters...maybe. Carlito is good on his own and wouldn't even fit in to the 'Evolution lifestyle".

If They did do it, I'd say Masters and Cade (after dropping Murdoch)

Funky Fly 09-07-2005 08:31 PM

They should take in Masters and leave at the three of them. Evolution works best when you have past, present and future. Also, between HHH and Flair, if they coached Masters enough, he could become a decent wrestler.

PureHatred 09-07-2005 08:45 PM

Actually, Masters' character is such a boneheaded goon that I actually think it would make more sense to have Carlito in a new Evolution stable. He's an arrogant heel type from a wrestling family, just like Orton. And I think it would be stunning if he were to show up on Raw with Flair and Trips in an Armani suit with his hair slicked/tied back (or cut :wow: ).

Whereas, if you dressed up Masters, you'd just have an oaf in a suit. No "it" factor there whatsoever.

redoneja 09-07-2005 09:07 PM

Masters I can see as a combo of Orton and Batista. His cocky style reminds me of Orton while his physique and wrestling style remind me of Batista.

Carlito isn't a good fit for evolution. He could be an ally of the group(especially around Survivor Series) but I don't see him fitting into the mechanics of the group.

My choice for the 4th member of Evolution would be a darkhorse candidate. I would consider adding Val Venis to the group. Hear me out here....

Much like Chavo Classic's idea of Shelton becoming disgruntled and joining the group, I would have Val drop the ladies' man/porn star gimmick and join up w/ Evolution.
However, I also agree with Funky Fly that the Evolution "theme" works best with three people(past, present, future). Therefore, I would put Masters in the "future" role as the green hoss, and turn Val into a vetern Enforcer, a la Arn Anderson in the 4 Horseman. Instead of learning from Flair and HHH and waiting to move up to main event status, Val would simply join Evolution for the money, the women, and the glory. Instead of worryign about being the next HHH like Masters, he would watch the rest of Evolution's backs and take out people who stand in their way.

Favre4Ever 09-07-2005 09:53 PM

I don't really think that Masters is even anywhere close to Orton and Batista, and no amount of the WWE jamming him down my throat is going to change that.

Kane Knight 09-07-2005 09:57 PM

Batista and Orton were nothign before Evolution.

PureHatred 09-07-2005 10:05 PM

True, but with Batista and Orton you could at least see the potential for them to become something. Ortna was young as hell, had that pretty boy thing going for him, and was doing those awesome updates during his first injury that basically turned him heel whilst on the DL.

And Batista was just a very intimidating physical specimen. Even as Deacon Batista, he was at least getting the type of reaction Tomko got as Christian's sidekick.

Every Masters segment is just dead air.

Innovator 09-07-2005 10:12 PM

Masters would wear one of those tux t-shirts with the arms cut off

The Fox 09-07-2005 10:16 PM

Even if it is the "WWE logic", I hope not cause one Evolution is enough

Stickman 09-07-2005 10:23 PM

I can see a different stable forming but not "Evolution"

I agree. I'm just pointing out the argument.

Favre4Ever 09-07-2005 10:51 PM

Besides, Triple H needs a couple "not the leader of a major stable" months or years. Flair wouldnt be bad though.

KingofOldSchool 09-07-2005 11:32 PM

Actually I see HBK turning on Flair and joining up with Hunter and Masters. Have Carlito be like an "ally" of sorts and then when the time is right, pull off a double switch between Shelton and Carlito.

Kane Knight 09-08-2005 12:41 AM

They need a stable that doesn't include Hunter anyway. But that would shift focus on him, so I'll keep dreaming.

No. I don't see that. What I DO see is way too many "Do you see...?" threads asking about possible future storylines. What do you think this is, a wrestling discussion forum? Sheesh! ;)

redoneja 09-08-2005 12:43 AM

I'd like the idea someone put forth of a Old School stable v New School stable

Jaton 09-08-2005 12:47 AM

Yes Terran. God forbid we speak of it!

Gouda 09-08-2005 01:59 AM

I'd actually like to see a new Evolution of Smackdown, lead by Randy Orton.

Throw in Christian in the role Orton filled in the first Evolution. I know lots of people want him on his own, but if he were in this stable maybe he'd actually get a decent push and decent TV time and come out of it more over than ever.

Add Ken Kennedy for some reason.

Then instead of having the big muscle guy, have the small cruiser guy in Paul London.

Kane Knight 09-08-2005 02:03 AM

...Kenneddy...

FourFifty 09-08-2005 03:07 AM

Here's what I want to see happen with the main event and stable on Raw
Ric Flair re-forms the Four Horsemen, all faces...

Ric Flair
HBK
Shelton
Matt Hardy

Spiderman is only as cool as who he fights. If he stopped J-Walkers he'd suck ass, but he fights guy's like DocOc, The Green Goblin, Venom... So here's Eric's little stable.

Kurt
Carlito
Snitsky

Okay, so it looks like Ric has Eric up by one, but the thing is Triple H is PISSED that Ric wouldn't re-join Evolution, so he's not really on Eric's side, but damned if he'll pass up a chance to hurt The Four Horsemen. Triple H re-forms Evolution.

HHH
"Sugar" Shane Helms
Rosey
Chris Masters
Rob Van Dam

Of course Sugar and Rosey are no longer super heroes, but I wanted Evolution to have a HUGE guy.
As of Masters, m'eh.
RVD- I just want him to get pushed to the main event.

Any stable without Hunter would be buried, hence that is not the best idea

Volare 09-08-2005 09:17 AM

as long as Motorhead does the theme's again its alright with me.

cafctom 09-08-2005 09:36 AM

Carlito doesn't suit Evolution as previosuly discussed, but Masters does have that Evolution 'look' about him. A possible 4th member - Rene Dupree?

Chavo Classic 09-08-2005 09:37 AM

Shelton Benjamin, Edge, Kurt Angle. Those are my 3 picks

Volare 09-08-2005 09:39 AM

then Angle and Flair can have a "Woooo!" match

Chavo Classic 09-08-2005 09:43 AM

I imagine that Masters would try and join in but botch it...

Masters - "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Angle - :nono:
Flair - :wtf:

Impact! 09-08-2005 10:03 AM

Deadman's Hart 09-08-2005 11:48 AM

Sure, a new Evolution. Consisting of Flair, Masters, & Angle vs. the new DX consisting of Carlito, HBK, HHH.....lol Who knows with WWE.

I like the idea of Shane Helms being brought in to the second incarnation of Evolution, however I think Rosey shouldn't be part of it. If Helms is going to be turned heel he needs to get as far away from the whole super hero thing including Rosey. It would start a good feud for Helms too as to help his heel turn. Rosey keeps trying to get Helms to remember why he became the Hurricane leading to a few matches between the two culminating in a match at a match at a ppv. After that Helms begins a feud for the IC title.

As far as Evolution having a "big man" Masters could fill that role somewhat. To me Evolution is not really about having hosses in the stable. Its more about technique, finess, and of course cheating heel tactics.

Do we really need them to make another song identical to the last two they did for the WWE?
