Oh my god, they are making a game about the TV show 24

Comes out November 14th 2005. Oh fuck yes, this is the best news all day. Don't care if this is old news or not, discuss why this will be the best game ever.

It only allows you to play for 24 hours from the time you start. After that the game leaves you with a big cliffhanger until you purchase the sequel that they'll release a year later.

Kane Knight 09-08-2005 12:44 PM

I was gonna comment, but DS had a better one, so...

TheNamelessOne 09-08-2005 01:18 PM

I was more interested in game version of "The Shield" but thats probably never going to see the light of the day. God fucking dammit.

Jonster 09-08-2005 01:36 PM

Hang on - you only just found out?

It actually takes place between seasons 2 and 3. So it follows up on the cliffhanger that was never really explained much.

Yeah, probably goes into how Palmer's hand was badly scared and what caused it and why etc.

loopydate 09-08-2005 11:29 PM

We already know why his hand was badly scarred. The chick from "The 'L' Word" tried to kill him with a handshake in the season finale.

Joey Slugs 09-08-2005 11:45 PM

i just read a review in gameinformer magazine for it... it sounds pretty shitty to me. dunno. have to wait til i see a demo to say anything else.

it's only for ps2.

loopydate 09-08-2005 11:52 PM

I'll definitely give it a shot, for the following reasons:

1) I love the show.
2) They got the original voice actors.
3) They're trying really hard to make it look like the show (split-screen and whatnot).

So, I'm going to remain optimistic until I play it.

Yeah I know that, but I want to know what it was. Gonna try it out on some assholes at work

AareDub 09-09-2005 01:15 PM

All the reviews I've seen so far just say "the driving missions are fun." As if the rest of the game is horrible. I'll still try it thought.

You better be able to play as tony

So wait, how does that work out? Is it like a countdown for every level, allowing you a certain time to finish it?

loopydate 09-12-2005 11:04 PM

Pretty sure he was joking.

But it wouldn't surprise me if they did something along those lines. "The following level takes place between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM. (Beep BEEP beep BEEP beep...)"

DS 09-13-2005 04:10 PM

Yeah I was joking.

DaveWadding 03-03-2006 03:54 AM

So, supposed to come out soon.

Disturbed316 03-03-2006 10:29 AM

Got the demo and it's pretty good. The shooting takes a little bit of getting used to, but I'm sure after playing the proper game for abit you'll get used to it.

Out in 2 weeks over here, can't wait.

IGN absolutely slaughtered it :$

I don't watch the show, but this game looks pretty cool.

IT wouldn't be the first time a game did that. :D

Boondock Saint 03-03-2006 07:26 PM

I hear it's decent for a TV to game adaptation, funky controls though.

Astley316 03-05-2006 01:45 AM

Ive just finnished it this afternoon, its pretty simple and anytime you get stuck on a level, which wont be often its more trial and error. The shooting sections play a lot like max payne which isnt a bad thing imo, its pretty easy but if you are a fan of the show, it's deffinantly worth getting because the plot fills in a lot of gaps between season 2 and 3, for examply, if you ever wondered how nina was able to put the virus into ctu that she used in season 3, it explains that as well as what happened between Kate Warner and Jack
