So I was watching Smackdown last night...
 

And noticed how much Ken Kennedy and Paul Birchill rock. They are definite future players in the company. Kennedy has the mic skills, and his in ring work isn't bad. Birchill has the look of a champion. Actually, he quite reminds me of HHH. He's still got a ways ahead of him, but I already like the guy. He's won me over. With the way the WWE treats their young talent though, we could very well never see them blossom to their full potential. And that's just sad.

It's Friday Night SD! now so surely it hasn't been on yet!!

Also, great to see a young, British wrestler doing "well" in the WWE!

i realised that the Uk now gets SD! before US but now that Canada has it the day before well, it means for once the yanks are behind everyone else!

I saw Smackers yesterday, too. Australia still gets it on our Friday afternoons.

Kennedy is indeed awesome, as is Burchill. BTW, anyone catch how Kennedy tapped the mic three times before he said "...Kennedy" a second time after he won the match? That was just a little thing I like about Kennedy that I hope sticks around.

KEN KENNEDY: ...And the winner of the match is...MRRRRRRRRRRRR...Kennedy...*1* *2* *3*...Kennedy!

Also, what about that mad technical armbar finisher that Burchill uses? This guy has serious luchadore potential in the WWE.

Actually, they get RAW the same time as us now, only it's at like 3AM...

Though seriously, I pity anyone who stays up that late for wrestling. Hell, I barely stay up for Raw and I only have to watch til 11:05 or so.

And on Monday I saw... well nothing really.

If they did...I don't envy them for the privelege. Sorry, but another MNM/LOD 2K5 match made me want to sleep.

I haven't seen Kennedy or Birchhill yet. I keep hearing good things on both...guess i'll have to watch SD to see for myself.

When I first saw Birchhill, I was like what is triple H doing on smackdown.

Out of all the new people (masters etc..) I actually like Kennedy & Birchhill.

Lame.

They never fired Faarooq. As a matter of fact, Ron Simmons still does publicity things for WWE, along with someone else, I forgot who. But yeah, he's still hired, but in a publicity/spokesperson role, which I think is great.

Errr...They announced his release on their site. I know he's been with the company in a different role, but they did fire him. :p Mere hours before the Smackdown in which he was fired aired.
