Best live performance you've seen this year

Either Coheed and Cambria or Flogging Molly. Both were awesome.

Cactus Sid 09-15-2005 03:10 PM

Pixies at Reading

Mind-blowing

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-15-2005 03:51 PM

Possibly Terrorvision, though it may be Cradle of Filth, just for seeing Dani Filth do his vocals live.

Gertner 09-15-2005 05:16 PM

Nu Nrg, and Blank & Jones stood out in my dj voyages

Disturbed316 09-15-2005 05:24 PM

Stereophonics

JJ Moore 09-15-2005 05:29 PM

Isis - Nearly made me cry, powerful stuff.
Sebastian Bach - Got up on stage etc. good shit
Megadeth x2 - Mindblowing

G 09-15-2005 06:04 PM

The only live performance I've been to was Projekt Revolution last year, so I'd have to say that.

Gertner 09-15-2005 06:13 PM

this was the best show i 've been to this year

Gertner 09-15-2005 06:13 PM

hopefulyl it still works

Zen v.W.o. 09-16-2005 01:33 AM

Pearl Jam, just earlier tonight. Holy fuck, they ruled. They were on stage for 3 hours, played some stuff for the ramones, played some neil young, some who, performed with sleater kinney, and I'll gush more about them, right now my ears feel blocked and they are ringing on top of that.

Matthew Good with Aufdermaur earlier this year were top notch too.

Looking for boobies. 09-16-2005 01:36 AM

MCS and Anberlin were both fantastic, but even if I was closer, I'm not sure if they topped Green Day.

Fuck it. Every performance I've seen this year was good, no stand-outs.

JJ Moore 09-16-2005 05:51 AM

Opeth were great too
Kreator also amazing
Dark Tranquility were also amazing

Requiem 09-16-2005 07:40 AM

Disturbed. Was also the only show I've been to this year. I'm not much of a concert goer unless a good band is in town and several of my friends want to go too.

Sleater-Kinney and Auf Der Maur =

LK 09-16-2005 04:00 PM

Oasis at Hampden, as well as the Futureheads who were one of the support groups.

Gonzo 09-16-2005 06:23 PM

The Crue.

TheNamelessOne 09-16-2005 06:30 PM

Bad Religion at the Camden Underworld.

Mind blowing. The atmosphere was immense, the crowd sang along with every song, lots of old songs, Greg Graffin attempted to sing Cyndi Lauper, the band attempted to immitate Iron Maiden and I stood like 2 inches away from Greg Hetson but was too afraid to say anything. Hes a shortarse too.

redoneja 09-16-2005 06:44 PM

Eh, the only concert I had time to go to this summer was a Dave Matthews concert in Tampa. I've never seen so much weed in my life.

All the bands I really want to see live don't tour due to the fact that key ppl are dead. You know: Sublime, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Johnny Cash......:shifty:

diothoir 09-16-2005 11:23 PM

Interpol at Oxegen.

The most unbelieveable atmosphere I've been in. Absolutely ridiculous.

Buzzkill 09-17-2005 03:37 AM

The Decemberists

Penner 09-17-2005 11:26 AM

hmmm...

Dillinger Escape Plan was CRAZY.
Saosin was pretty sick.
Relient K were good.
Atreyu were awesome.

I donno the whole warped tour was sick.

Danny Electric 09-17-2005 11:35 AM

Yeah i gotta admit seeing Dillinger at the Underworld was awesome.

Blue Demon 09-17-2005 04:02 PM

U2 and the Stones were the best. Tea Party was good also.

El Capitano Gatisto 09-18-2005 01:56 PM

Interpol at Oxegen. It was more than a set, it was a memorable life experience.

Super Furry Animals and The Magic Numbers also at Oxegen.

The Pixies at Lansdowne Road were fantastico too.

Zelda 09-18-2005 11:13 PM

Weezer and The Pixies

JJ Moore 09-19-2005 06:42 AM

Nevermore tommorow night

El Capitano Gatisto 09-19-2005 11:17 AM

I forgot about Devendra Banhart. He was great. I love that hairy bastard.

diothoir 09-19-2005 02:33 PM

He looks like The Mask.

El Capitano Gatisto 09-19-2005 02:37 PM

No he doesn't. The Mask is a fat bastard.

The Mackem 09-19-2005 02:40 PM

Kasbian or Foo Fighters

Arashi Kage 09-19-2005 11:15 PM

Judas Priest with Queensryche. Priest played a killer set, and I was really impressed by Queensryche.

Was supposed to go see Motley Crue, but the plans fell apart.

Joey Slugs 09-19-2005 11:59 PM

i have my top 3

1. Rolling Stones @ Soldier's Field (last week)
2. Weezer @ Lollapolooza (in July)
3. White Stripes @ The Auditorium Theatre (in August)

Kasabian

Deceit 09-20-2005 09:14 PM

Danny, I'm going to see Coheed/Dredg at a place here in NJ on the 27th. Going to be an awesome show for sure!

wrathchildCEW 09-21-2005 07:12 AM

So many to choose from! Green Day, SOAD, Black Sabbath, 36 Crazyfists, Funeral For A Friend, Fozzy, Bullet For My Valentine, Audioslave... the list goes on and on.

JJ Moore 09-21-2005 01:33 PM

Nevermore ruled last night, and Dew Scented were pretty badass.

Rob 09-21-2005 04:43 PM

Fozzy. Chris Jericho is just a phenominal live performer. Audioslave were very disappointing.

Seeing Disturbed next month who are awesome like and Alter Bridge in November,

Shaggy 09-21-2005 05:21 PM

Hmmm...well Metallica if you count a year ago from now...but if you only count in the year 2005

I might have to go with Ashlee Simpson because thats pretty much the only one ive seen this year....besides Toby Keith and I hated him...
