Hey, thought you might be interested in a brief recap of the WWE Stockholder meeting which is posted below:

I went to the WWE stockholder meeting today in Stamford, CT. Vince said some interesting stuff, mostly about hollywood and other media outlets. He talked about the cruiserweights and that they need to establish personalities so the fans like them, not risk their lives. He said he only allows the pros to do the hi-flying, not the guy who thinks he knows how. He addressed the tag team problem and said it is on the mend. Vince mentioned they will be going to 15 pay per views per YEAR. Gross.

A fan asked Vince if Shane or Steph will take over when he retires and Vince said something very VERY interesting,

"Just because you have the last name McMahon does not mean you will take over the company. Same goes for if your last name is Leveque." Oooh, so, Triple H may be taking over after all someday. Vince said you must EARN the opportunity to work for this company, you have to prove that you want it. Vince said he pities his children because he makes them work EXTRA hard, at which point Linda did an RVD move, pointing to herself and said, "and me!"

A fan questioned Vince about new talents coming to the WWE. He said there are plenty in the developmental school, but one already on Smackdown has a VERY bright future, and that man is Ken Kennedy....KENNEDY.

When asked about UFC and the new Monday Night Wars, he laughed and said Spike is hallucinating. He thought UFC had a good thing going, but that it will get slaughtered to compete w/ the WWF. Vince said the owner of Spike is throwing UFC against RAW because he is spiteful that they switched back to USA. When I asked him privately about TNA, he said, "let them do what they want. I don't view them as a threat."

Yes, there will be ANOTHER Diva Search next year...boooring.

Somebody asked him about his workout to which he responded,

"I'm leg pressing 1000 pounds now, which my doctor advises against, but whatever." I piped in that he beats me in the leg press by 400 pounds, he checked out my legs and said, "good work."

After autographs and pictures, we were given a tour of the television studio (where the meeting was held). We saw where Smackdown is edited, where Jim Johnston records the music, and the WWE/ECW/WCW/NWA library which is absolutely AMAZING. It was a sight to see 70,000 hours worth of tape cassettes.

All in all, the day was amazing. Vince looked to be in great shape, was VERY nice to all of the fans, took his time to answer, chat and sign autographs. Same went for Linda, although she left quickly after the meeting whereas Vince stayed, chatting.

lol it pisses me off that Vince is such a cocky arrogant asshole now that he is on top of the sports entertainment business...

The worst part is, he's right....at the moment TNA is of no threat whatsoever and if any fan thinks it is, they're fucking morons. I really really really want Turner or some millionaire to get into the wrestling biz so Vince will shit his pants again. Everyone eventually falls off from their invincible cloud.

Actuially, I've been saying that Trips was probably going to take over for like the last year and a half. It's not like this is some stunnign revelation.

Shane is more about dealing with the corporate sponsors. And Steph is an idiot. Trips is alredy sitting in on writers meeeting and spends a lot of time in his interviews (non-kayfabe) talking about the direction of the product, and how he wants it to be more old-school, especially the matches. And that's exactly what's happened.

What pisses me off about this is the things he says about the cruisers and connecting with the fans; the most effective way for them to connect is to allow them to do the kind of things that cruisers are known for. Fast paced matches with a decent number of high spots. Take that away and you're cutting their legs out from under them before they start.

True. With him in charge every single big event match wil slow down to a crawl to where the main event at WM 25 will probably look move-for-move like Harley Race v Ric Flair circa 1977. Some of you old heads may not think that osunds like a bad idea, but watch one of those matches now and tell me they don't come off as slow , plodding and boring.

Read that carefully. Vince is saying that "Just because you have the last name Levesque, does NOT mean you will over the company."

Well? Isn't he saying that he wouldn't necessarily take over the company, ever?

Anyone else know how to read? "Same goes for if your last name is Levesque" sounds like it means he might NOT be taking over. People already thought he MIGHT get it. He's saying (Whether just to look good, or because he means it) that it takes more than simply being family (Or an in-law).

Sorry for not seeing your post first. Every post I was reading til this point was talking as though he had just comfirmed Levesque.

Wow, a breath of fresh air! People are so paranoid about HHH taking over someday that they misread that statement. :p

this is the reason i hate so many people here, they are so worried that HHH will take over.... would that really be a bad thing 10 years down the line? how the hell would we know.

Vince has gone up against competition many times to realise that TNA could oneday have the potential to compete. Its a pity TNA doesn't know that! ;)

and of course Vince is gonna say that "TNA is no threat" to his FUCKING SHAREHOLDERS

lol It's funny because though because someone on TNA's official board said, "wake up Vince and stop lying, TNA is your competition and you fear them!!!!"

I can see HHH running the wrestling/storylines side of the company while Shane handles the finances.

the usa new slogan "charecters welcome" kinda makes me think of mark magnus. PLEASE WWE bring HASSAN back!
