Just moments after WWE Champion John Cena defeated Chris Jericho in a You're Fired Match, Kurt Angle viciously attacked the Champ, informing him that the Olympic Gold Medalist was the new No. 1 Contender. Things heated up one week later as Cena called out Angle. Angle didn't want to put his championship match in jeopardy, but Cena was able to goad Angle into storming the ring. Angle tried to hook in the Ankle Lock but was unsuccessful. Will Angle's fortunes change at Unforgiven or will Cena be able to avoid the Ankle Lock yet again? After more than five months, no one has been able to come out on top in the Master Lock Challenge. Shawn Michaels gave it the best effort to date, but the Showstopper could not break the Master Lock. Will he have better luck in a one-on-one match against Masters at Unforgiven? The Nature Boy Ric Flair is a 16-time World Champion, but he's never held the Intercontinental Championship. He'll have his chance at Unforgiven as he challenges Carlito for the gold. Flair crashed Carlito's Cabana on RAW and showed him why he's the Dirtiest Player in the Game and promised to take him to school. Will Carlito be able to overcome the wily Flair? Matt Hardy and Edge have brutally and mercilessly torn each other apart. GM Eric Bischoff realized that the two Superstars can't settle the score with any ordinary match, so he signed them to a Steel Cage Match. There's no telling how much damage these two will be capable of inside of a 15-foot high steel cage. <script type="text/javascript">DisplayAd("LargeBody");</script> A couple of weeks ago Snitsky attacked Big Show from behind and smashed him in the back of the head with the ring bell. WWE Champion John Cena vs. Kurt Angle September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima..._cenaangle.jpg Click here for video preview. WWE Champion John Cena has been on a roll ever since coming to RAW. But this Sunday, he'll have to limp into Unforgiven. Cena may very well have sustained a broken ankle when Kurt Angle attacked him on RAW, pulled Cena to the corner and forced his ankle hard into the ring post. The Olympic gold medalist then worsened the blow with another knee to the injured limb. As Cena squirmed in agony, General Manager Eric Bischoff screaming at him: “I’ll take your belt. I’ll take your career. I’ll take your dreams,” Bischoff angrily declared. <script type="text/javascript">DisplayAd("LargeBody");</script><object id="ad_62163" classid="clsid<img src=" images/smilies/biggrin.gif="" alt="" title="Big Grin" smilieid="3" class="inlineimg" border="0">27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" height="250" width="300"></object>But Bischoff has upped the ante. On the Aug. 22 edition of RAW, after Cena defeated Jericho in the You’re Fired Match, Kurt Angle viciously attacked the WWE Champion and let him know that he was the new No. 1 Contender. One week later, Cena called out the Olympic gold medalist, but Angle was reluctant to respond. With his WWE Championship Match already secured for Unforgiven, he didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize his shot at the gold. Cena was able to get under his skin, though, and got Angle to charge at him in the ring. Angle immediately went for the ankle lock, but Cena was able to kick out of it before he locked it in. Will that be a sign of things to come at Unforgiven or will the Olympic gold medalist lock in his deadly hold? http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...0/160angle.jpgThe next week on RAW, Bischoff attempted to further soften the WWE Champion by forcing him into the ring against Tyson Tomko. With Cena suffering a concussion from Tomko’s signature Yakuza Kick earlier in the evening, The Champ was on the defensive almost from the outset. Tomko leveraged his size and strength, but Cena was able to come back with a shoulder block and offensive flurry. After connecting with the Five Knuckle Shuffle, Cena pumped up his shoes and hit an FU for the win. After getting to the top of the ramp, Cena turned around and acknowledged his fans, but with his back turned, Angle appeared and beat down The Champ for the third week in a row. After laying out Cena, Angle posed with the WWE Championship. This past Monday, Angle attacked Cena again, badly injuring his ankle only six days before the big pay-per-view. Could this be a sign of things to come at Unforgiven? He is a 16-time world champion and has held just about every championship there is to hold ... but not the Intercontinental Championship. Flair will get his chance to make history yet again at Unforgiven when he goes one-on-one with Carlito. Flair was a guest on Carlito’s Cabana a couple of weeks ago, but Carlito wasn’t the most gracious of hosts. In fact, he went so far as to spit pieces of an apple into the Nature Boy’s face. The following week, Flair was scheduled to team up with Shawn Michaels to take on Carlito and Chris Masters. Before the match even took place, though, Flair was found a bloody mess backstage. Carlito eventually revealed that he was the culprit. <script type="text/javascript">DisplayAd("LargeBody");</script> ````````````````````` Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Masters September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...elsmasters.jpg Click here for video preview. Shawn Michaels is an icon ... but Chris Masters thinks that HBK’s time has come and gone. The Masterpiece is young, powerful and as cocky as they come – and thus far he’s been able to back it up. Masters thinks that his time is now to rise to the top of WWE, and he wants to start by taking out Shawn Michaels at Unforgiven. A few weeks ago on RAW, Masters interrupted Shawn Michaels while he was addressing the crowd. The cocky youngster said it was time for HBK to pass the torch. HBK, however, refused to give up the spotlight that easily and eventually signed on to take the Master Lock Challenge. http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...bk_masters.jpgMichaels finally got his chance at the Master Lock Challenge, one week later though. After Masters applied the hold, it looked like HBK would be able to do what no one else had been able to do in five months and break the hold. But Masters hit Michaels with a Chair, busting his head wide open and then reapplied the hold. WATCH After being hit with the chair, HBK could not come back and break the hold and passed out. This past Monday, HBK again succumbed to the Master Lock after being blindsided and repeatedly rammed into the ring post after coming to Ric Flair's aid. Will things be different when HBK and Masters square off in a one-on-one contest at Unforgiven? <script type="text/javascript">DisplayAd("LargeBody");</script><object id="ad_62173" classid="clsid<img src=" images/smilies/biggrin.gif="" alt="" title="Big Grin" smilieid="3" class="inlineimg" border="0">27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000" height="250" width="300"> </object> <script language="JAVASCRIPT" for="ad_62173" event="FSCommand(command,args)">DoFSCommand_62173(command,args); </script> WATCH a preview of this big Unforgiven match <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Masters cinch in the Master Lock on HBK WATCH HBK take the Master Lock Challenge on RAW <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Chris Masters puts Ric Flair in the Master Lock ```````````````` Edge vs. Matt Hardy September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...42350/cage.jpg Click here for video preview. Matt Hardy and Edge’s rivalry has progressed to such lengths that it must be settled inside a steel cage. This comes after RAW General Manager Eric Bischoff originally slated for the two Superstars to settle things in a RAW Street Fight several weeks ago. Both Edge and Hardy risked life and limb to come out on top. The action spilled up the ramp and onto the stage. Edge avoided a Twist of Fate and Hardy eluded the Spear, but Hardy was able to deliver the Side Effect off the side of the stage sending both men crashing into electrical equipment. WATCH http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...edge_hardy.jpgBischoff took notice and realized he had to up the ante once again in order for Hardy and Edge to settle things, setting up a Steel Cage Match for Unforgiven. Hardy gladly signed the contract, but after vowing that “Matt Hardy will not die,” Bischoff ordered him to face Snitsky in a tune-up match despite the fact he was in no condition to compete. Hardy gave it a valiant effort, but Snitsky brutalized the already-injured Hardy. After the match, Snitsky continued the punishment and bashed in the back of Hardy’s head with the ring bell. This past Monday, Edge speared Hardy to end a tag team match. Afterward, Lita lifted Matt's body and added insult to injury by delivering a Twist of Fate to her ex-boyfriend. What will fate have in store inside the steel cage on Sunday? Find out at Unforgiven. <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Lita give Matt Hardy the Twist of Fate <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Edge attack Hardy after a match `````````````````````` Big Show vs. Snitsky September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...howsnitsky.jpg You can bet that this match won’t feature any hurricanranas, head-scissor take-downs or moonsaults. What this match does promise is some brutal, hard-hitting, smashmouth action. Big Show is the biggest man in sports-entertainment today. He’s a real-life, walking and talking giant. And Snitsky has done more than just wake this giant, he’s down-right pissed him off. http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima.../show_snit.jpgGetting on the bad side of a giant isn’t usually one of the smartest things someone can do, but so far Snitsky has gotten the best of Big Show. Big Show dominated a handicap match a couple weeks ago on RAW, but his post-match celebration was short-lived as Snitsky rained on his parade. Snitsky stormed the ring from out of nowhere and savagely attacked Big Show. After taking down the big man, Snitsky grabbed the ring bell and bashed it into the back of his head two times, leaving Big Show flat on the mat. WATCH One week later, Snitsky picked up a victory over an injured Matt Hardy. Following the victory, Snitsky retrieved the ring bell once again. Big Show tried to make the save, but he was too late. Snitsky, just as he did to Big Show, bashed Hardy’s head with the bell. Snitsky was able to escape through the crowd before Big Show could get his hands on him. But there will be nowhere for Snitsky to escape to at Unforgiven. Will Big Show get his revenge or will Snitsky continue his reign of terror against Big Show? |

World Tag Team Champions The Hurricane & Rosey vs. Cade & Murdoch September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...f_tagteam2.jpg For the past few weeks, Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch have been sending messages that they were on their way to RAW to make an impact in the tag team division. When the newcomers had a non-title match against The Hurricane and Rosey on RAW recently, they certainly made the most of their debut. After showing off a dazzling display of tag team maneuvers, The Hurricane and Rosey started to come back. But with Cade and Rosey on the outside, Murdoch was able to hit a top-rope bulldog for the upset win. This past Monday, Cade and Murdoch kept rolling with an equally impressive win over Eugene and Tajiri. If Cade & Murdoch are able to repeat at Unforgiven, they'll walk away World Tag Team Champions. <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Cade and Murdoch's shocking RAW debut. `````````````` Trish Stratus & Ashley vs. Torrie Wilson & Victoria September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...3_uf_divas.jpg Trish Stratus’ much-anticipated return match will coincide with a key moment in Ashley’s brief RAW career. The Women’s Champion will team up with the 2005 RAW Diva Search winner to take on two of Monday night’s resident vixens, Torrie Wilson and Victoria. The addition of Trish back into the fold is a welcome change to the RAW landscape for Ashley, who has been hazed by Torrie, Candice and Victoria week-in and week-out. A few weeks ago, Torrie Wilson and Candice attacked RAW Diva Search winner Ashley with no provocation. The following week, they came out and said they wanted to apologize. Ashley came to the ring and said that if they were being honest, she accepted the apology. Torrie and Candice said that they felt so bad that they pulled some strings and got Ashley her first ever match…against Victoria. The vicious Victoria came out and leveled Ashley with the Widow’s Peak for the victory. On RAW, Torrie, Victoria and Candice tried to lure Ashley into the ring again. But this time, Ashley brought the ultimate backup in Trish, who cleared the ring. Adding to this match is the long and contested history between Trish and former Women’s Champion Victoria. The two have met in big situations before, but on Sunday they’ll have to display tag-team continuity in search of a win in the pay-per-view spotlight. <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Ashley announce her own special surprise: Trish Stratus! <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Candice and Torrie "apologize" to Ashley WATCH Candice and Torrie welcome Ashley the hard way ````````````````````` Shelton Benjamin vs. Kerwin White September 18, 2005 http://www.wwe.com/content/media/ima...winshelton.jpg This week on Monday Night RAW, Shelton Benjamin got a chance at payback when he faced off against Kerwin White, who interfered in Benjamin’s match the week prior, costing him the contest against Rob Conway. Unfortunately, Benjamin's pursuit for revenge did not go as planned. While Shelton technically got the win, it was Kerwin smiling and waving in the ring after an intentional disqualification from blasting Shelton with a golf club. This Sunday at Unforgiven, Shelton Benjamin will attempt to finally gain a measure of revenge from Kerwin White - the RAW Superstar formerly known as Chavo Guerrero that has recently joined middle-class America. <!--StartFragment -->WATCH Kerwin cost Shelton Benjamin a match WATCH Kerwin attack Shelton with a golf club, causing a disqualification. ``````````````````` Will mediocrity rule or will Unforgiven be a night that shall never be forgotten? |

hasn't the PPV been on for 23 minutes now?
:lol: at absolutely no comments about it |
Well, 0-1 to start off the PPV, as Flair is your new IC champ. :(
I thought IC meant you're about to get into the main event, not you've already been in it for 30 years. Does this mean HBK jobs? |
Look at the card. :|
|
What a comedy act already.
Everything bad about the WWE is in the result of that match. And the Triple H name-dropping? What's that all about? |
Ashley = green/botch
|
I didn't hear anything he said. I was just still amazed at Ric Flair actually hitting a move off the top rope.
Did you see Torrie just throw Ashley out of the ring? ROFLE |
