Rate the Tag Team - Day 27 - The Insiders

http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com...nsiders/02.jpg

Word. We are back with the 27th edition of Rate the Tag Team. This thing is getting more popular everytime I post it. I don't know if it is the certain tag teams or what but i'm having fun. Last time we rated The Outsiders and they are the first team since the NAO to crack the Top 10. They scored a very good 86 putting them in 9th place overall. Last edition we went out now lets go in ...

This team wasn't one of the longest running teams but they sure left their mark. They left their mark by winning the WCW tag titles two times in the span of 2 months. They spent their time feuding with one of my favorite stables, The Natural Born Thrillers. This is Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page, The Insiders.

I gave Outsiders a 7...so I feel it only fitting to give the Insiders a 3.5...Main Event Team thrown together...just like I love Jericho and Benoit, but just because you throw them together doesn't mean they are a good tag team. Plus I think they were about half as exciting as the Outsiders.

I'd say the biggest problem Kevin Nash has is that he's alive...

5... DDP is the only reason this is so high.

The Road Warriors gained most of their fan base from their WWF days, which is sad because they were 10x better in AWA/NWA.

Most people here might have voted for Harlem Heat for this reason:
"Oh shit... is that Booker T? I like him on Smackdown."

And the as for the Steiners? Well... they are the FUCKING Steiners. NO complants there.

How about we get some top tier AWA/NWA teams on here before we deal with the fanboy indie teams.

The Road Worriers where one of the most over NWA tag teams I ever saw. To say they got most of their fan base from the WWF is completely ignoring a seven year time span. '84 they won the AWA tag titles, '89 they won the NWA tag titles, '91 the finally won the WWF tag titles. Before the late 90's they had barely spent 3 full years in the WWF cumulatively. Their audience is a cumulation of the three audiences, (well lets be serious anyone who watched AWA watched NWA with little exceptions) but I will go out on a limb and say most of the people who where there where fans due to their NWA work. But I doubt many people on this site where there.......

I suppose your right.

I was a fan of theirs (since I knew them personally) during the NWA/AWA days because they would stop for shows in Chicago alot through out the 80s. So, no matter where they went, I would root for them.

But like I said, and you agreed to, how many guys here were avid AWA/NWA fans when it was actually going on.

I'll go out on a limb here and say hardly any.

thats not what I meant, what I meant was when wcw had a successful Idea they abused the hell out of it. after Goldbergs streak, they tried to give Wrath/Brian Clark/Adam Bomb a streak but it never cought on. outsiders=successful
insiders=blatent abuse of fans mentality
I am in NO WAY a wwf/e fanboy nor will I ever be.
