Which one's the indies and which one's the WWE? Gimmick changes like this usually lead to termination eventually after some time in the midcard. And the WWE's fired injured people before.

Sometimes they promise a better gimmick and even send them down south to work on it, then fire them. See: Dudley Boyz.

Depending on how long you plan on wrestling full-time [if one plans on investing money into other things outside of the business], the indies are actually better than WWE is. You can make more on the indy scene having been a former WWE talent than you can being a lower mid-card guy with the WWE.

Raven does it, but I think he's the exception. You may have more tangible proof than I do, but for all but those that have a real cult following it just doesn't seem too viable.

Plus, so many of these indy feds are putting out DVDs now and trying to get wrestlers to work for them exclusively. In the indies, that's ludicrous.
