Teddy Long & Palmer Cannon on Raw USA Homecoming...(SD SPOILERS)
 

Does this mean that Smackdown's definately gonna get either Hardy or Edge cuz that's where I thought Long was going with that...anyone else think so?

Anyone else find it stupid that when the draft lottery was going on, Bischoff told Edge that if he got drafted to Smackdown, his contract would become null and void because his contract is only liable to a World Heavyweight title shot, and not a WWE title shot (this was before Batista got drafted). And now, Bischoff's going on about the winner of the ladder match will win the contract for the shot at the WWE title.

Meh, just one of those stupid things I've noticed.

Hardy is going to Smackdown and Edge will keep the MITB title shot. Simple as

^Yeah, I can't see a way around it, and it sucks. I think Edge would have plenty of oppurtunity on Smackdown. Theres no reason to put a guy who isn't good enough to be in the main event in the main event.

Edge is going to the main event. It's decided. He's already got his ticket to ride and its just of matter of time before he does.

Would it be horrible for me to suggest this possible layout of events?

Lets say that Edge is holding onto his MITB thing 'till Mania. He makes this plain and everything, and someone takes him out beforehand, making it impossible for him to recover in time for Mania. Thus, rather than letting the MITB go to waste, he passes it along to former partner in wreaking of awesomeness, Christian!

I like both, and dammit, I'd want either as champ!

I imagine Edge might use his title shot sometime between the Rumble and Mania in the typical scenario of the two main eventers (chosen to headline Mania) being separated by individual feuds before meeting up at the big one. Edge is going to be main event filler, which isn't as unfortunate as it sounds, because I don't like the guy.

But Edge fans, rest assured, he will main event again and one day could be champion.

I like to look at it like this:

Eric Bischoff is RAW General Manager. He makes the rules and matches for RAW. Teddy Long is SmackDown! General Manager. He makes the rules and matches for SmackDown!.

If Edge went to SD!, Eric Bischoff no longer has authority over him. Teddy Long would likely want Edge to earn his title shot again in the deep blue. When Cena came over to RAW, Eric Bischoff still governs over Edge. He can make the match for Edge to challenge Cena for the WWE Championship. You'd find that if Edge went to SmackDown! tomorrow, in a kayfabe sense, he wouldn't necissarily be guaranteed a World Heavyweight Title match just because the Money in the Bank Title shot was originally for the World Heavyweight Championship (now on SmackDown!).

My brains hurts.

Its logic, I know WWE creative has tried to make you forget it but.....
