Worst live bands

My Chemical Romance. Hands down.

Seen them like 3 times live. Absolutely horrific.

Penner 09-26-2005 05:17 PM

They're not that bad... instrumentals and stuff are good, but the backup singing is horrible and the lead singer could use a lot of work.

Good Charlotte is pretty terrible...
Senses Fail is shit, SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO shit. Lost all respect when I saw them.
Hawthorne Heights aren't great, the screaming is pretty brutal, they have off and on nights I think.

El Vaquero de Infierno 09-26-2005 05:25 PM

Cave In

Christ almighty, but they suck anyways.

Mike the Metal Ed 09-26-2005 05:34 PM

Alter Bridge and Disturbed are dull as dishwater live.

TheNamelessOne 09-26-2005 05:40 PM

I've seen New Found Glory and Yellowcard supporting and they are both absolutely fucking awful.

I absolutely love Senses Fail so I have a hard time believing they are THAT BAD live. They didn't seem awful on the dvd.

Hawthorne Heights (from watching the DVD) is TERRIBLE live. Even their lead singer kinda sucks live. But the screamer.....

The Mask 09-26-2005 05:50 PM

elbow. fucking utter shit and piss.

Mike the Metal Ed 09-26-2005 06:12 PM

Also, I saw Queens of the Stone Age's set from Oxygen Festival on TV, and they do nothing but completely butcher their songs live, and it sounds terrible.

And I'd only just lost the urge to stab you in the face.

As for me, probably god awful British band Sugarcoma. Who have hopefully now split up.

Nark Order 09-26-2005 06:27 PM

I quite enjoyed Yellowcard when I saw them

Violin guy rules

Can you say "Fuck you guy's, bring on the Foo Fighter's?"

I also would like to nominate The Coral.

The singer is horrific and the backup screamer is horrible.

Download Senses Fail on Kimmel and Conan and you'll know what I mean. They have been really bad both times I've seen them.

Yeah I thought Hawthorne Heights were really bad on the DVD too, but they did a great show at Warped Tour this year. The screamer still sucked though.

RoXer 09-26-2005 07:22 PM

Nah, QOTSA is pretty good. Was when they were here.

samichna 09-26-2005 07:34 PM

LOL the violin guy from Yellowcard. Like it is cool/unique or whatever to have a violin guy in a pop-punk band, but I mean, he thinks he is ROCKING OUT, which is absolutely ridiculous.

G 09-26-2005 07:42 PM

Snoop Dogg was pretty horrible. He opened for 2 rock bands. The whole time he was on stage involved drinking and weed. And bitches.

NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT.

The Outlaw 09-26-2005 07:44 PM

QOTSA tore shit up when I saw em at 'Looza.

Alter Bridge was pretty good when I saw em too.

That all girl band was pretty shittacular. The Donnas or whatever. Horrible. I wanted to shoot myself.

G 09-26-2005 07:46 PM

The Donnas were on an episode of Room Raiders. I'm sure the ratings went through the roof.

Maybe it was just bad timing for Alter Bridge, I couldn't really be bothered to watch them since I'd just come out of the pit and was busy re-aquanting myself with oxygen instead of dust (seeing as the brain surgeons at Clearchannel decided not to put mats down in front of the stage.)

RP 09-26-2005 07:56 PM

mudvayne started threating the state of Indiana on stage, because everyone was booing there shitty performance.

Later that night on the main stage Story of the Year opened the stage and was pretty good. They yelled for everyone in the grass area to come up to the pavilion and go nuts. So basically 7000 people hopped into the pavilion and went nuts. At the time i had dropped 5 hits and was all for burning the place down. So i thought it was great. Well apparently the headlining act wasnt to fond of this performance. According to the loca radio station and Godsmack themselves on stage , who actually said they " beat those punks ass " there was a fight between Godsmack crew and some members and the whole Story of the Year band. I guess Story of the year ggot there ass kicked backstage.

G 09-26-2005 07:58 PM

When Papa Roach first came out with Last Resort, they played on Conan and it was awful. The first 5 seconds, the drummer breaks a stick. A little later the guitarist plays a few wrong chords. :|

Penner 09-26-2005 08:10 PM

upload?

mitchables 09-26-2005 08:13 PM

Blink-182 were pretty subpar when I saw them last year. :$

Silent 09-27-2005 04:41 AM

Blink182 when I saw them touring with Green Day. Green Day was awesome though.

Taking Back Sunday still holds the title as shittiest live band ever in my book.

Looking for boobies. 09-27-2005 05:18 AM

I agree. I thought their performance was pretty horrid.

Looking for boobies. 09-27-2005 05:22 AM

Penner, I downloaded "Lady In A Blue Dress" that was performed in London last year AND I downloaded "Rum Is For Drinking, Not For Burning" that was performed on Conan and to be perfectly honest, I thought both videos fucking ruled. :-\

Destor 09-27-2005 05:33 AM

Systematic.
The whole crowd had the same thoughts on them: :| .

Tornado 09-27-2005 06:11 AM

Elbow when they supported Muse where dire.
The Cribs supproting The Ordinary Boys sucked.
Taking Back Sunday and Hard-Fi supporting Green Day where both terrible.

High Impact v.W.o 09-27-2005 07:16 AM

I've heard that SOAD is god awful live.

The Mask 09-27-2005 08:46 AM

yeah SOAD weren't great. they're a bit weird live. like you never think about it listening to CDs and stuff but when you get to a gig and want to jump around, their crazy time changes and all the weird shit stops you from doing that. plus serj didn't seem all that into it. Same goes for soulfly. Max Cavalera just didn't seem interested which gutted me a bit because soulfly were like my favourite band at the time, i've hardly been able to listen to them since.

Luckily for me I saw Mad Capsule Markets but on the most crazy energetic gig i've ever been to 2 days before, and it was utterly superb.

I'd also agree with the Coral and QOTSA for being shit, although they're shit anyway.

Ska-Wars 09-27-2005 09:21 AM

I've seen some terrible bands in my time, but I think the prize goes to Hungry And The Hunted, supporting King Prawn in 2003. They were unspeakably dull.

Download Buried A Lie and watch him try to hit the notes in chorus.

A live video or a live version of the song? I'll try to find it, if I can't... maybe it's just the odd one or two occasions where he fucks up.

I've seen them live twice, and watched countless videos.

lol what. I just saw Disturbed like a couple months ago and they were amazing. Though, if you saw them at the end of their tour, -any- band can suck.
