The most surprising team in my predictions would be Memphis, but after looking some depth charts today I think they are a pretty solid team. They have a back court consisting of Damon Staudamire and Eddie Jones (two great three point shooters), Bobby Jackson (former sixth man of the year), Shane Battier (great defender), and Mike Miller (overall good swing man).

Then Pau, while no KG or Duncan, is a solid post player, better then average, they also have some guys who aren't great but have good size at center. I think they could surprise some people, the main thing going against them is that they are in a division with Houston and San An.

I think just about everybody in the lottery (and a few more) have a good shot at being pretty good, but they could also be little impact as well. With Danny Granger, you just know he is going to be solid, not a superstar but he will fit in. I could see him being ROY, because I don't think Bogut, Paul, Felton, and the other guys are going to be great right off the bat.

Sure it will. When they come out of the locker room , not high.

RP 10-07-2005 05:24 AM

The great thing about the Blazers is that you cant honestly say atleast one person on that team isnt high when they play a regular season game. If someone told me my life depended on the Portland Trailblazers sobriety, I would grab the gun and go ahead and kill myself.

loopydate 10-07-2005 04:30 PM

Yeah, no way in hell it turns out this way, but I figure "What the hell? Why not give it a shot." Western Conference is crazy strong this year, and I think, believe it or not, there's an outside chance that the Spurs may not even make the playoffs if they suffer even one key injury.

Rectal, the "Jail Blazers" have been dispanded. Sheed is on Detroit, Bonzi on Sacramento, Damon on Memphis.

Besides Darius Miles I don't think people on their team have had problems in the past.

I think GS will shock people this year.

The Blazers will always have problems.

Take the Qyntel Woods situation, for example. And how about Zach Randolph gaining tons of weight over the summer.

Don't even get me started on Miles. I could completely destroy the Blazers creditability and not even mention Miles. Mentioning Miles would destroy it, kill it, ressurect it and then kill it again.

BCWWF 10-11-2005 09:06 PM

I would much rather have Randolph then Wallace and Miles is no worse then Bonzi attitude wise. You'd have to go to China to find a basketball team without some attitude problem. The Blazers simply aren't nearly as bad as they used to be.

BCWWF 10-23-2005 09:09 PM

If Ndudi Ebi can't be designated for assignment then the new CBA isn't complete yet. I'm not just saying that because he is on the Wolves, because I didn't like taking him to begin with and I don't like the Wolves chances anyway, but you should be able to designate a player after two years as well, maybe to Europe or Austrailia instead of the D-League, but somewhere.

No just a quick trip to Utah.

loopydate 10-23-2005 11:08 PM

Or Detroit. And if anyone says Rasheed Wallace, I'll know they haven't watched basketball in the last two years.

RP 10-23-2005 11:11 PM

Ben Wallace. I mean he started the worst brawl in sports history.

BCWWF 10-25-2005 02:00 AM

Utah has Carlos Boozer and Kris Humphreys

Ninti the Mad 10-26-2005 02:07 PM

I really dont see age playing a factor in San Antonio, loopy. They are still in their prime and have a deep bench to keep minutes off the older/more fatiued players to keep them fresher longer.

And they had injuries last year.

Hell, Duncan played the entire playoffs with two sprained ankles.

Nov. 1 cant come soon enough.

MoRcHeEbA 10-26-2005 03:28 PM

I went to th e Raptors game the other night they had in winnipeg against portland and Toronto is terrible. LAST PLACE HERE THEY COME. Is there any good people gonna be able to be drafted number 1 next year?

The Miz 10-26-2005 03:57 PM

JJ Redick! He's unathletic, awful defensively, and an incredibly streaky shooter, but he can sure knock down the freee ones!

MoRcHeEbA 10-26-2005 04:39 PM

sounds like the raptors type of player.

RP 10-26-2005 11:11 PM

Greg Oden. You hope.

BCWWF 10-26-2005 11:24 PM

Reddick probably won't even be a lottery pick, but he did get considerably better last season. I think Rudy Gay is the top prospect right now, and he would actually fit in Toronto pretty well.

BCWWF 10-27-2005 02:01 AM

Milwaukee is suddenly looking to be a playoff team. T.J., Redd, Simmons, Magliore, and Bogut. Then you have Joe Smith, Gadzuric, I forget who the guards off the bench are, but they are definately a team to be reckoned with.

The Outlaw 10-27-2005 01:50 PM

They still have Desmond?
