I bet Sadistic was front row center for this event.

A group called IWA Deep
South was shut down this past weekend in Childersburgh, AL, after a
women who took her kids to the show called the police because of the
extreme violence. The promoter refused to give refunds and was allegedly
later found hiding in bushes outside the building. The first match
featured two so-called wrestlers (you can tell I'm bias) smashing light
tubes on each other sending shards of broken glass flying into the
crowd. After mutilating each other for 10 minutes the finish saw one guy
give the other guy a brainbuster off the top rope through chairs on the
outside. The second match saw an idiot knock himself out after diving 20
feet from a balcony through a table. The third match saw two more idiots
stomp each other beneath non-gimmicked barbed wire boards. The fourth
match featured more barbed wire and the fifth match just before the
police arrived saw another two idiots smash each other in the groin with
cinder blocks and baseball bats. source: PWTorch

LOL

Shaved Monkey 10-25-2005 01:09 PM

Too bad none of these idiots succeeded in removing themselves from the gene pool. :n:

Sadistic 10-25-2005 01:19 PM

IWA! IWA! IWA!

But seriously..what stupid bitch takes their kids to a show like that. The ad clearly stated 'barbed wire' or 'deathmatches' or something like that.

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 01:25 PM

LOL only you would be the one bitching about the parent.

Sadistic 10-25-2005 01:42 PM

It's like taking your kid to a porno then complaining about the sex and nudity.

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 01:46 PM

But how do you know that mom knew what the wrestling show actually was?

It sounds like the promoter is one of your old school sleazy promoters that didn't actually promote that it was going to violent.

The mom probably saw an ad that said "IWA Wrestling Coming to Hickville, U.S.A. on October 22."

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 01:48 PM

When you place an AD in the newspaper, they usually charge by the letter or the length. Which would be most cost effective for a indy promoter...putting an AD that says "IWA Wrestling This Weekend!" or "IWA Wrestling With Barbwire, Light Bulbs, and Just All Around Idiots This Weekend!"

Sadistic 10-25-2005 01:50 PM

Indy wrestling ads aren't like that. Indy wrestling advertisments always have some sort of draw and that is always mentioned. The ad would go something like "IWA Wrestling Coming to Hickville, U.S.A. on October 22 featuring BARBED WIRE BOARD DEATHMATCH! and FLAMING TABLE LIGHT TUBE BLOOD BATH! Prepare to be shocked!"

Hmm, I say no harm was done. I mean, obviously Sadistic and his siblings are just fine. :p In fact, he's grown up to be the wacko that we know and love today.

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 01:51 PM

Oh so you've been to every single indy wrestling event and have seen every single ad that is ever ran for indy cards?

I can ask the same question to you. Anyway enough about indy wrestling. JBL might fight Cena again in a classic. It could reach 6 minutes this time.

That's a really idiotic statement. I'm not the one claiming that Independant wrestling cards are ALWAYS promoted half-assed. Unlike you who claims that Independant wrestling cards are ALWAYS promoted proper. Even though there are hundreds, maybe thousands of indy cards promoted every day. There is no possible way for you to determine what is promoted and what is actually shown on every single card.

TerranRich 10-25-2005 02:00 PM

Mmm, I can't wait to see another FLBCBWB Match! (Flourescent Light Bulbs, Concrete Blocks and Whiffle Bats, OH MY!)

Sadistic 10-25-2005 02:02 PM

I don't give a fuck what was promoted to be honest. If she didn;t like the violence then she should have got up and left. Why did she ruin everyone else's night? People there wanted to see the violence and she ruined it. If you go to a play and you don't like it do you call the police and say "this play is shit, shut it down". no you don't you just leave.
God I hate these PTA soccer moms. When her son grows up crazy and kills someone you can be sure it will be wrestling's fault. Give me a fucking break.

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 02:07 PM

So how do you know that if one person went expecting it to be an actual wrestling show, that no one else there expected the same thing? If the show was promoted wrong, you will get fans that are expecting a resemblence of a real wrestling event. Not a bunch of idiots shredding their skin for a cheap thrill.

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 02:09 PM

Afterall the promoter was promoting a...get this...WRESTLING EVENT. So when people come to see this "Wrestling event" and get nothing but guys commiting nothing more than assault with a deadly weapon, SOMEONE is going to get upset over it. At least this woman did something about it.

Jaton 10-25-2005 02:11 PM

Folks, folks. Let's all calm down and remember that Darwinism will do it's job and at the end of the day, these guys WILL get Darwin awards.

Sadistic 10-25-2005 02:16 PM

I remember going to the cinema once. Advertised was a "NAIL BITING THRILLER THAT WILL HAVE YOU AT THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT". I wasn't biting my nails or at the edge of my seat. I didn't call the police, I left.

Jaton 10-25-2005 02:18 PM

Yeah well, you're a moron. You should've sued for false advertisement. I still plan on suing Snickers over quite a few things. I have yet to become a WWE Tag Team champion, have yet to have an NFL team named after me, have yet to become President, and hunger still happened to me. It may have been a month later, but the underlying point is: it still happened.

Jaton 10-25-2005 02:18 PM

/rant

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 02:20 PM

LOL WTF.

There is a difference between going to see a bad movie and going to see a bunch of retards slaughtering each other with glass, barbwire, and cinder blocks.

Have some god damn common sense.

Sadistic 10-25-2005 02:21 PM

Botton line is the stupid soccer mom should have left. The police didn't need to be called.

Jaton 10-25-2005 02:22 PM

No, she should've left as soon as it started happening. From what I understand, she sat there almost the whole time?

Okay so...I'll gather up a group of my friends...rent out a gym...promote it as a wrestling event...charge $10 for people to see said wrestling match...then have my friends slice and dice each other non-stop for 2 hours or so with glass and other dangerous objects.

And I guess no one has a right to complain because ya know because that kind of stuff is legal.

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 02:28 PM

Ohhhh I got the perfect idea for a wrestling match!

I'll promote a 6-way Deathmatch where the object is to literally cause your opponent to DIE!

And it'd be great because no one should call the cops over it because they paid to watch it!

AHAHAHAHAHHAHA I'm smart!

Move over Vince McMahon, because I'm going to become the greatest wrestling promoter EVER!

lol @ you thinking it's illegal. So if they advertise a "wrestling" show and it doesn't fit your definition of "wrestling" it's illegal?

KingofOldSchool 10-25-2005 02:31 PM

Okay so I can just go down the street and slash my neighbor with broken glass and get away with it?

Jaton 10-25-2005 02:32 PM

Naturally.

If your neighbour hands you the glass and whispers in your ear "slash me with the glass" then yes.

No, but if they started throwing things into the audience (see: glass shattering) or looked like they were trying to commit real murder, yeah, I would...

Vastardikai 10-25-2005 02:35 PM

When jackasses are smacking each other with light tubes, could she have possibly have thought "This is gonna get better"?!

If glass is going into the crowd, pack up the kids, and leave.

Actually you would usually still be charged with assault whether the other guy wants to or not. The police department would press charges.

So you haven't SEEN the advertising then?

You don't actually know what it said?

And yet, earlier you brought up the fact that they did advertise lightbulbs or barbed wire?

What you meant to say is you don't know, but you want to blame the mother because you're a desperate fanboy, right? :)

Sadistic 10-25-2005 02:41 PM

I don't know what the advertising said. No one here does. I'm assuming it was like every ultra violent indy ad I've ever seen.

By the way I'm not defending the promotion. I wouldn't go to a show like this. I'm just pissed off at the stupid PTA mom.
