Ripping DVDs
 

What do I need to do this

depends what you want to rip them to?
I use DVD decrypter and create DVD ISO's I can use to burn to other DVDs or to mount using Daemontools.

How rude of me. I meant from DVD to my hard drive.

So I need actual hardware for this, eh?

If it's just from the DVD to the hard drive, all you need is a regular DVD drive then. Do you want the files, or an ISO file (if ISO just use DVD Decrypter like Bad Company)?

So where can I get this decrypter?

I'd also like to tell you that once you dl it, all you do is open the program, put in your disc, wait until decrypter pools the files on the right-hand side of the screen and click the green arrow button.
I'd certainly like to tell you that when Decrypter is done decrypting the disc, to go into your "C" drive and open the "TS_Video" folder, then double click the files to watch your movie in little sections.
Also, I could possibly tell you more on making the movie size smaller, and more complete, but this is all quite illegal......so I'd like to help, but my hands are tied. Sorry.
