When will Edge Actually Use his Money in the Bank?

2nd attempt.

Poll coming up..Please hold.

Hired Hitman 11-04-2005 06:26 AM

Wrestlemania 22, he would be an idiot not to wait until wrestlemania.

PorkSoda 11-04-2005 07:08 AM

WWE will completely forget about it.

LK 11-04-2005 08:47 AM

One can only hope Porksoda but I suspect he will use it at the Royal Rumble

Shaggy 11-04-2005 08:56 AM

Im thinking he will lose the rumble match and come out and say that even though hes lost the rumble he can still go into the mania main event...

He pulls out the contract...goes to mania...and wins the belt...bank on it

Blue Demon 11-04-2005 09:05 AM

I'm gonna go with WM 22

Fatal Four Way...Sascha vs Edge vs the RR winner vs the champ (Probably HHH)

I mean, since the RR champ will be on Raw or move to Raw.

Hardkore Kidd J 11-04-2005 09:59 AM

Wrestlemania 22 most likely.

Mr. Nerfect 11-04-2005 04:45 PM

Hmm, a lot of people think WrestleMania 22. The thing about that is that there is no surprise, though. But oh well, Edge is talented enough to main event WrestleMania.

Right now, I can easily see John Cena vs. Edge at Survivor Series. John Cena vs. Kurt Angle is apparently scheduled for a future RAW, so they may as well get one of their top heels and have him challenge at a big PPV. I can even see Edge winning.

I personally think Edge could be the guy to defend the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Edge is undefeated at Mania, and they could really use that to play him up as an unbeatable Champion for some poor babyface.

Having two WWE Championship matches at WrestleMania is a possibility as well. John Cena defends against Triple H successfully, Edge wins a match in the undercard, he then comes out, challenges Cena, and we see Edge win his first World Title.

Sadistic 11-04-2005 04:49 PM

I'd laugh my ass off it WWE decided to pretend it never happened and just faded it out of storylines.

Nervous Ferret 11-04-2005 04:52 PM

prob RAW between NWO and Wm22 acting as a filler, just like he did this year in Japan

Gouda 11-04-2005 05:02 PM

He'll open up the briefcase and find it empty. Lita will then explain that she threw away the old one because it was dented and got him another one.

1. Edge should not be main eventing WM.

2. Surprise isn't necessary. In fact, with the way they were building it towards WM, I'd say a surprise would detract from the angle.

3. They want Edge to main event, despite X-Pac Heat, boring chants, and everything else the fans have said. They are that keen to push him, it'll probably be at a big event. Maybe the RR or something, but the most obvious one is the "grandaddy of them all!"

Wasn't there a stip that he had to use it before WM

Nervous Ferret 11-04-2005 05:18 PM

I think the stip is he has one year from time of winning to use the money in the bank. Otherwise it's null and void...

Oh and for the World Heavyweight championship but let's ignore that little fact.

Eric specifically said up to (and including) Wrestlemania. Then again, he also said specifically that it was for the strap now on Smackdown....

Jaton 11-04-2005 05:48 PM

Who's to say he can't use that to go to SD so we can see Edge/Hardy part 3894723.3?

If Rumble winners can do it, why can't Edge? It's practically the same thing, right?

Savio 11-04-2005 05:49 PM

Like eric would say, "No you can't face cena"

I think it'll be either Armagedon or the Royal Rumble.

Blech.

Taker Fan 11-04-2005 06:17 PM

I think that Edge should lose his Rumble Qualifying match on RAW, and then after that his mindset is changed and he wants to enter the biggest show of the year as the WWE Champion rather than the challenger, so he uses it at the Rumble to face Cena

If so then WM 22 will be one of the darkest moments of professional wrestling.

V 11-04-2005 07:35 PM

you know what i think?

you spent way too much time on this poll

mrslackalack 11-04-2005 11:01 PM

I look for him to be the last man thrown out of the RR and use it sometime before WM.

V 11-04-2005 11:14 PM

WHY DON'T YOU TELL US, MISTER FIRST PLACE IN TIPSTERSSSSS

I think the WWE should try to go back in time and have Christain win the MITB

hb2k 11-05-2005 02:54 PM

Here's a thinker -

Does anyone remember back in the draft when Edge did an interview with Grisham, where the Toddster said that if Edge got drafted, then his MOTB shot was no longer valid, as the title show was for the World Title, not the WWE Title?

Good work WWE. Good to see that bringing in all those sitcom writers for storyline continuity was money well spent.

CharismaInjection 11-05-2005 02:57 PM

If Edge uses it at WM22 and he's still heel and part of Raw, that gives some hope that Triple H will finally not be in the main event.

LK 11-05-2005 02:58 PM

Never thought I would say this but I would much rather have HHH in the main event, if that was the case.

You're point has been brought up on several occasions. The problem is the WWE chose the wrong words and in turn it has confused many people (myself included for a time.)

Instead of saying that it was only for the World Heavyweight Championship they should have said it was for the RAW title, but that would have broken Kayfabe a little bit (post draft) because how would they know the title was going to change shows two months in advance?

Here the deal, if Edge had gone to SD! he couldn't use the MitB because Bischoff sanctioned the match and not Teddy Long, making him Eric's no.1 con and not SD!'s. Its irrelevent what title it is as long as its on RAW. The 'E' just phrased it wrong, the same reasoning that meant he couldn't use it for the WWE title then is the same reasoning that lets him use for the WWE title now.

At least Eric is capable of changing his mind here, thogh. "I'll allow this as long as it's on my show."

hb2k 11-06-2005 09:31 AM

As much as I'd like to agree with the point Destor made, because it makes storyline sense, that isn't what they said - they mentioned the titles. As seeing as how they are scripting things out heavily, it was their mistake.

The MAC 11-06-2005 03:07 PM

i doubt edge will main event wrestlemainia! he wil probably lose the brief case in a ladder match before then. Edge is not main-event material just yet.

Did I miss the memo where the WWE changed policies? They're big on him, and he's survived dead crowds, boring chants, and fan demand.

they think he's worth a shot at the top. That's why he went over the infinitely more talented folks during the whole MitB deal in the first place, and why they hyped it as a potential WM spot.

Afterlife 11-07-2005 05:41 AM

That's kinda weird; I voted WM22...and I'm the 22nd person to do it. It's a sign, I swear.:shifty:

What Would Kevin Do? 11-07-2005 05:44 AM

I think he'll use it at a house show in Topeka Kansas.
