Told you they'd fuck it up! I called it! BREAKING NEWS ON TNA!

Quote:

On Tuesday morning, TNA management informed TNAwrestling.com that the company has come to terms with a "major acquisition" who will appear this Sunday during the live "Genesis" Pay-Per-View.

When reached for comment, TNA President Dixie Carter offered the following:

"This is the single biggest jump in TNA history," Carter said. "The contract is signed, the travel is set and in my opinion, 'Genesis' just got a whole lot more intriguing."

TNA will have further information on the "major acquisition" this Sunday on the live countdown preshow a half hour before "Genesis".
I said before the smart thing to do would be for TNA to hype up this signing for weeks, a la Hogan with WCW. Flaunt it continuously and have TNA consistantly mention signing a big name from the company up north. But normally with TNA, they'll have this new signing interfere in the main event of their PPV.

I'm assuming Christian has been signed.

kinglacoste 11-08-2005 05:05 PM

the major acquisition is kingofoldschools poster that was taken away from him

McLegend 11-08-2005 05:07 PM

Yes this is a major Fuck Up

Funky Fly 11-08-2005 05:11 PM

Wouldn't Christian have the 3 month no-compete clause blocking him, or is that only if he leaves prior to the contract's expiration?

Since his contract expired he does not have to wait.

It's been reported that Christian did not have a no-compete clause that would keep him from working anywhere else.

Tis true, the no compete clauses only came into effect recently, I asume Christian had an older contract, and as he didn't ask for his release or was fired, he was exempt from the rule

Funky Fly 11-08-2005 05:18 PM

Well, debuting him on a PPV is stupid, since they don't have a big enough adience or wallet to make those kinds of moves yet. Debuting him on tv 3 weeks before a PPV will garner interest in the PPV, especially if you tease a match on the last tv episode, but have it end in a brawl.

Funky Fly 11-08-2005 05:18 PM

Well, that fucking rules. I still get my weekly fix of charisma.

RP 11-08-2005 05:21 PM

they'll blow there load and give him the title at the ppv the blow it again and take it from him at the next one.

Xero 11-08-2005 05:24 PM

I hope they just have him come out, cut a promo on how the "guys up north" shat on him time and time again and leave it at that. Build something up starting at the next Impact...

Sadistic 11-08-2005 05:25 PM

I don't think anyone fucked up. This is great news.

kinglacoste 11-08-2005 05:26 PM

another guy for sadistic to watch a j-off to

LK 11-08-2005 05:41 PM

Didn't the no compete clause come into play after Raven appeared on TNA like a day after leaving WWE or was it the Jarrett situation that triggered it.

Is it just me or are 'shoot' promos getting cliché?

Loose Cannon 11-08-2005 05:45 PM

yea, agree they really need to announce these signings. You're gonna generate more buys by telling people someone from the WWE is going to be at a TNA show.

Well, would you rather have TNA blow their load and have him interfere in the main event?

Shadow 11-08-2005 05:53 PM

Wow...that's the biggest fuck up I've ever seen.

Retard.

Mr. JL 11-08-2005 06:16 PM

Sounds like TNA might be a pulling a late WCW move, by having someone debut on PPV, with no advertising.

Only if he leaves or is fired before the contract ends.

Xero 11-08-2005 06:27 PM

The SMART thing would be to hype it up like Goldberg's WWE debut. They showed a promo for him being at Backlash at WrestleMania XX and had him debut the next night.

Exactly, just like I was talking about.

Don't get me wrong. They should push his return on TV, and then debut him at an appropriate time. Its just after seeing so many shoots recently they seem to be getting old and predictable. I would rather Christian put himself over in his promos than focus on bashing the E.

That's true. They should have Christian focus on something in TNA, but knowing TNA and the way they're pushing it (as a huge acquisition), he's going to throw a few punches at the WWE, whether he wants to or not.

Gouda 11-08-2005 07:20 PM

Dammit. I don't want to order the PPV to see him debut.

Disturbed316 11-08-2005 07:24 PM

We all know whats going to happen, he'll come in, side with Jarrett, after a month he turns on him and feuds with Jarrett and then job to him.

ONLY IN TNA FOLKS!

ONLY IN TNA FOLKS!

If that happens, no future in TNA whatsoever.

Shaggy 11-08-2005 10:00 PM

Even though its been TNA's "Thing" now to bring in a new star every ppv and have them interfere in the heavyweight match...I like what they are doing to hype this up..

All they did was say he will be making an appearance...the only way TNA could fuck this up would be "if" they have him interfere in the main event....now if they hide who it is all night and sometime before the main event just have him come out and cut a promo and that be it then it would be good....

Just dont have him interfere now....TNA is sadly being known for this now as everyone has pointed out...

Anyways....hearing that this person might be Christian....errrr...Jay Reso...makes me want to order the ppv

Shadow 11-08-2005 10:14 PM

Folks...it will be Christian. He's got the right to use that name.

Morons.

Savio 11-08-2005 10:19 PM

Christian is going to help jarret retain.

lmaooooooo THat's so sad that people would even think that...thats how redundant TNA is..people already assume the main event and outcome.

Kane Knight 11-08-2005 11:17 PM

That's it, TNA's gonna fail now.

PullMyFinger 11-08-2005 11:20 PM

TNA iz lyke the bestest company ever!!!111111 No stoopid storylines like the e. I got newz 4 u, if u lyke storys then go watch wwe.

DS 11-09-2005 12:15 AM

Weren't you the one that made a thread saying that TNA shouldn't listen to their fans? Now you are complaining because they didn't listen to you?
