My idea for Sonjay Dutt...
A lot of TNA wrestlers have nothing special to them...the casual fan couldn't give a flying fuck about him or RS or AA b/c they have no gimmicks to have fans remember them by...or some sort of character.
So therefore, I think TNA should use this idea I have for Sonjay that'll get people watching the show know who he is...make him stand out, etc. Call him Sonjay "The Bollywood Star" Dutt. Have him dress up like how The Rock or Gregory Helms would...basically, a high profile type of guy. He can also play a heel where he acts like he's the most famous bollywood star alive and TNA commentators always say hes in denial b/c he was a failed movie star. Anyhow, have Sonjay air some shitty Bollywood vignettes... or something of the sort. What do you all think? |
sounds pretty cool, it'll seperate him from the rest.

He's The Original Playa From The Himalaya. What more do you want!?

You're describing about half the TNA roster.

Sonjay Dutt's current persona...really pisses me off. He's a very talented guy, no question, but his babyface mannerisms annoy me tremendously.

Ok, you're right. Dutt's mannerisms annoy me too. Too bad TNA doesn't care. |
Danny Bollywood Electric
And lol @ him being babyface, it's just blind guessing with most of there roster. |

I told that to the TNA marks on the site. That TNA"s problem is that they have some good talent but is clueless on how to use it due to lack of character development and gimmicks. lol They weren't amused and stated that the casual fan will appreciate the wrestler due to their in ring work and that'll give off if they're a heel or face. |
The vegetarian group PETA one time tried to establish the catchprase "We PETA the fool who eats animals." Upon learning of this blatant theft of his catch phrase, Mr. T founded McDonalds.

Break his legs. He is a spot MACHINE, a la Amazing Red. Shit, he blows more than half of his spots too.
Also, he is like a cruiserweight to the fucking cruiserweights. |

Sonjay Dutt reminds me of an Indian Christian Cage. Not in talent or style but in looks. Everytime I see him I think of Christian for some reason.

Like it's the fact that they do drama on Raw that's killing them. Because in the past, Raw was all about luchadores and technical 30 minute matches. |

I had a riot with that one. |
That wouldn't work in TNA imo purely because he's been on TV for too long and I don't think the fans would buy it, if he were to go to the WWE and do it, I think it could work. Oh and give him Davari as his mouthpeice ALLLLLEYEYAYYYYAYAA!

That amused me. Because really, I though culture had to do more with your wrestling talent than your actual skin tone. So if I can get a slightly better tan, I'll be a luchadore (Even though I'm native, not Mexican, Japanese, or Indian?) SWEET! |
I don't care what gimmick they give him. He's amazing at the style of wrestling he does. I'll watch his matches no matter what character he is. I loved his matches in CZW and his matches in TNA are very impressive also. I can see the WWE bringing this guy in some time in the future.
|
And then not using him, no?
|
They'll bring him in and give him a list of moves (90% of his arsenal) that he is BANNED from doing and before no time he'll be jobbing on velocity.
|
WWE should bring him in as "Raj Mysterio", he can be the Indian cousin of Rey. I SMELL MONEY!!
Dutt still annoys me. The Sprinkler? Little pissant. |
Sonjay remains one of the bright spots of TNA. His problem? He works for TNA.
