Probably not a full list, but to my knowledge, any form of piledriver is banned (excluding the Tombstone, but that gets busted out maybe once a year), shooting star presses, 450 splashes, overhead belly-to-belly suplexs, brainbusters... I'm sure there's more. Basically any top rope moves that has a 'high risk of injury', or any moves that have/have the risk of people being dropped on their head.

Keep in mind that I don't regularly watch WWE programming so moves on that list might, and probably will be incorrect.

Yeah, Lashleys been doing the overhead suplexes and Chavo's been doing the Brainbusters.

The right hand and taunt have been banned.

Irish whips are to be limited to twice per match now, due to excessive injury and pending lawsuits. :(

Being named Vince, Shane or Stephanie is banned.

Sweet Shin Music should be banned as well. Truly Devastating.

Funky Fly 11-10-2005 02:18 PM

I would kill for some Japanes Ocean Cyclone Suplexes, some Vertebreakers, real Death Valley Drivers and Orange Crush Bombs. Not Ganso Bombs, though. Way too dangerous.

Disturbed316 11-10-2005 02:28 PM

What about The Burning Hammer funky?

BigDaddyCool 11-10-2005 04:48 PM

Most suplexes are banned as well. Besides for norther lights, fishermans, vertical (be they hanging or snap), pretty much all the others are banned.

Only if it's the kind where they drop you right on your fucking face.

I can see Funky using that as a finisher, but calling it the "Ban Hammer."

Screw that, I'm making Funky in SVR2006, just for that one sight gag.

...my life is sad.

I'm not sure about WWE but wasnt the SSD (Steiner Screw Driver) banned?

Optimistic T 11-21-2005 03:12 AM

A good bit of the moves like piledrivers, brainbusters, powerbombs and overhead suplexes weren't banned, but rather wrestler's were told not to use them for regular moves. This took place around the time the InVasion happened. Some of it was complaints about seniority over moves (like how luchas used to do tombstone reversals for two counts) and some of it was over size (like looking back at D'Lo powerbombing Droz. It was a freak accident, but WWE got worried about stuff like this more. Once they eliminated the competition they could tone it down moreso) Also something happened to the DDT at one point. A lot of people were doing it for two counts, then all of a sudden only a few people were using it.

It's a bit sad, since this is why practically half the roster uses the spinebuster. You need a few moves to get a two count off of... not everyone's a Matt Hardy who can "create" a Side Effect.

I actually heard why they changed Shane Helms name to Gregory Helms so they would not confuse him with Shane Mcmahon.
