Yeah she is garabge. Haven't seen it before and could have lived with out it.

I don't care she is pretty hawt.

Ofcourse they'd booat the superbowl. People who go to her concerts don't give a shit how she sounds. People subjected to them elsewhere, are less receptive.

Her music is good but yes...that halftime show even had me wanting to change the channel.

Yeah I hear both of her fans have her CD.......................Dunno how you can like her though.

Anyone who expects anyone to sound like a song on an album is a fool anyway. There is much mixing, dubbing, and all-around producing is done to each song. Not to mention they have multiple chances to get the sound right over the track. It's not like the old days, where you had to hit everything perfectly in one go, or else scrap the whole take and do it again.

One personal case in point being Evanescence. They're not awful live, but it's nothing like the album. Amy Lee's voice isn't refined enough yet to really bellow out some of the things she does on her records. Maybe a few more years of big-venue touring and she'll be able to run around, sing, yell, etc. like she does without missing as many notes.

It's a live performance. Humans are imperfect. They're on stage, they have your money. Boo if you want. They'll wipe their tears with your pay stubs.

But yes. Ashlee Simpson is awful.

There's imperfect, and then there's fucking horrible.

These days, with pitch correction, editing, and the like, you can't even expect a relatively "Clean" sounding person to sound like they do on a record. Even someone recording in one take is so edited and chopped that they will bear little resemblence to the real sound.

However, this is a pretty fucking extreme example. It's not like people are expecting an OTR sound, just a sound that indicates she learned how to sing at some point.

Maroon 5 is a good example of the above.

Ashlee Simpson is exactly what is wrong with the music industry today.

Naw. "Punk" Is what's wrong with the industry. At least you can look at Ashlee with the volume down.
