Bret Hart's WCW run
 

1) What happened during his time in WCW from the day he left the WWF until his last day in WCW?

2) I hear many people were dissappointed in his run and it didn't live up to expectaions? How so?

(I wasn't watching wrestling at this time)

He didn't get the Championship till...I think 2000? He had the US title for awhile.

2) they really didn't seem to know what to do with him.

didnt get the title until November 1999, at WCW Mayhem. Kept it for like a month and a half tops.

he had to forfeit it cause of a concussion aka Goldberg's kick

He wore a metal plate under a hockey sweater once

That was the holy good thing Hart did in WCW, hell it's the only thing I can remember him doing.

They took one of the most recognizable names in wrestling at the time and made him just another guy

Bret won the WCW championship in a tournament final at Mayhem in '99 last beating Chris Benoit after the title was stripped from Sting following Halloween Havoc. I believe he (Bret) was also the U.S. champ when he beat Goldberg for the title in the first round of the tourney. Bret vacated the WCW championship the day after Starrcade in a controversial ending and won it back the next night on Nitro when nWo 2000 was formed. He last had to vacate the title when he suffered his career-ending injury.

I was dissapointed because for a year and a half he was only in the U.S. title scene. It was poor booking on the ways they used Hart plus they gave him a large contract so it didnt make sense.
