WWE Superstar On A "Deathwatch"???
Source: PWTorch Newsletter (Subscription available www.pwtorch.com)
-- In the latest PWTorch newsletter, editor Wade Keller states quite bluntly that there is apparently a top wrestler wrestling in the WWE today who’s considered to be on an “unofficial death watch”. He doesn’t go on to further elaborate on who this wrestler is, but he does go on to mention how people need to do what it takes to keep him alive, even at the “expense of box office receipts, storyline interruptions” and more. -- The deathwatch, which is apparently no secret to most within WWE, is still possibly unknown to Vince McMahon, who would need to be informed. The un-named wrestler, should he pass away, would make the coverage of the shocking and tragic news this week of the passing of Eddie Guerrero look minor by comparison, due to his credentials. -- This has been my first news post since the passing of Eddie Guerrero, and I would like to personally send my condolences to Eddie’s family and friends, both in and out of wrestling. wow... I wonder who it is?
For some reason i'm thinkin Angle, Taker or HBK... but I could be wrong.
Or this could be some sick way Keller gets us to suscribe to his newsletter...?
Fuck BAD WEEK BAD WEEK could it be HHH
Ric Flair
Hulk Hogan Mick Foley RVD Benoit Taker |
I was thinking Benoit, but I hardly doubt he would make Guerrero's death seem minor in comparison...

Hulk Hogan Mick Foley Couldnt be those two... |
Vader?
Probably won't be Flair because he is like 80 anyhow. Also, I'm willing to bet it isn't Taker because no one really cares (fans anyhow) about him anymore, and it wouldn't be as shocking as Eddie.
It is probably Angle or Linda McMahon. |
I'm seriously thinking its Angle... which would really, really suck sooooo badly. :(
I don't want it to be Angle... :(
Take this for what it's worth, but my friend's cousin was backstage at Raw in Montreal a couple of months ago as a medic. Supposedly, Batista's pressure is high and his cholesterol is through the roof. Not sure if it's true, but that's what he said. Don't quote me on that, as it might not even be him.
God, who could it be
Kapoutman, I'm not doubting you.. but they said it would make Eddies death seem minor, Eddie was more well known then Batista is, So I don't think it could be him... well atleast I hope it's not him, Shit I hope it's not anyone... First Eddie now this...

Shit, someone get Batista some lipitor and Cheerios.
But then again, this could be shit stirring sensationalism for adverse gain. Plus, there isn't much we can do from this end, now is there?
This really sucks if another wrestler dies this week...
maybe big vis? vis= ratings considering he's kind of old and always has been fat

Holy shit :|
Please let this not be as bad as it sounds :| |
Shawn Michaels?!?!?!?
Oh God.
Suge Knight is after John Cena
It's fake.

I don't think the PWTorch would just make up a rumor like this.
If the rumor is true, it is definately Kurt Angle. His sister died from angina around the time he had his Iron Man match with Brock Lesnar, so angina runs in his family. Angina is heart condition that basically overworks your heart and makes you more prone to heart failure. Not to mention the fact that it says its a top star and mentions box office receipts, afterall, Angle is main eventing Survivor Series. It says it would make Eddie Guerrero's death look minor, and Angle is an olympic gold medalist for the USA, so the news media would cover it more. RAW is in Europe today, just finished a show in Germany with HBK vs. Angle, so with the increase in travelling/flying, all the shit his body as went through over the years, may have caught up to him and now they are realizing something is wrong. |
See, when I read "death watch" I think "suicide watch," (since that's what they call it in prison). And if that's the case, that's quite scary.
On the other hand, if it's just a matter of "wrestler with a health risk," that's still kinda scary because we all know things can pop up w/o warning. This is just weird. I kinda hope it IS a hoax (even if it's from a reputable source), because the alternative is obviously much worse. But if it IS a hoax, that's also pretty sick. I'm not going to even bother speculating, but I wouldn't wish death upon anyone, not Hogan, not HHH, not Hardcore Holly... (lol, I just noticed a trend among the "most hated"). Anyway, yeah. |
NO GOD DAMN IT! NO!
I'm thinking its Ric Flair, Kurt Angle or Batista. I just hope if this is true that someone acts upon it, because the way the Torch says it leads me to believe that this can be avoided if the proper steps are taken.

A Death watch is when you believe someone to be on their last legs, quite literally. Suicide watch is when you think someone might hang themself with their own drawers. |

has there been any other news on this yet?
I really hope it's no one. Regadless if it's Angle or Funaki. It's horrible either way.
if something else happens this week, it very well could be the darkest week in wrestling's history.
the scary thing about the story is the disclaimer:

That's definitely scary, then, because to be in that state of exhaustion... wow. In that case, it could also be HBK, since it's very probable that's he's worked all this time not really caring about his body. I know he even said once in an interview something about not bothering to go to doctors after coming back, because he doesn't want to be told he can't work anymore or something like that. Scary stuff, if this is indeed turn out to be true (which seems that way so far). Hope whoever it is gets some time off and the proper treatment. |
