Hypnotize
 

so...like uh...pretty dissapointing I'd say.

I didn't like Mezmerize at first but now I fuckin love it. My fav album from them.

But Hypnotize--it's not that I don't like it. It's that i am dissapointed by it. Some songs are viciously predictable and the single ain't too hot either. There are a few good songs in there, bu overall, I just feel dissapointed they didnt do anything "weirder". The kind of weird where you know you need to listen to it several times before liking it...like I did with mezmerize. I don't know, MAYBE it will grow on me, but I kinda doubt it. I hope it does though cause it's not very appealing to me. Soldier Side is the best song in the album that I can remember btw.

Still gonna end up buying though.

I think die hard SOAD fans will dig it.

So they put out 2 albums this year?

BTW, I'm not really a huge fan or anything, I just liked Mesmerize and a few other assorted songs from other albums.

The band had some musical reasoning like too much music at once but I'm sure the record company saw there was more money and attention to be had in two cds.

So far Soldier Side is the only song that stands out, but Mesmerize was sort of the same in that not many songs stood out but the album as a whole grew on you so I'll have to give it some more listens.

Viscinity of Obscenity is my favorite on the CD. It's crazy like their old songs.
