Soma was also the miracle drug from Brave New World :) :) :)

Yes, actually, I have read Brave New World. It's like 1984, but using pleasure to control the masses instead of pain.
|
Wrestler in shock tranquiliser addiction!
|
You'd do drugs too if you were forced to be retarded
|
Now I wonder if WWE will drop the gimmick since they've basically broken kayfabe on the main site.
|
^
They'll wait at least 3 weeks so we forget (A) he ever had that gimmick (B) they broke Kayfabe on the site. |
Well, i'm just glad they'll most likely trash the Eugene gimmick. Dinsmore deserves better than to be forced to play retarded even outside of wrestling.
|
You know, 6 years ago or so I noticed a poster for SOMA on the wall of my doctor's office. I was reading Brave New World again as part of a class assignment, and wondered what exactly would prompt someone to think it was a good marketing ploy to use THAT name.

NoDQ.com > WWE > Big update on the Eugene situation
Posted by Aaron Rift on 11/23/2005 at 07:44 PM The word going around right now is that Eugene was taking Somas to take the edge off a sore knee he was working with, which may need medical attention. He put off getting it looked at by doctors because he didn’t want to lose his spot due to injury. Apparently he just kept working through the pain and used the pills to do so. ------------------------- Sort of sad. |

Sort of common. This is why so many wrestlers are hooked on painkillers. And the best part is, once again it's a midcarder (at best) who gets spotlighted for this. If you're going to suspend people for getting hooked on painkillers, you'd better be willing to either A) Suspend them all, or B) afford them the time to recuperate without fear of losing their position. |
KK, what's the WWE without hypocrisy?
