That story that broke said that AJ Styles was replacing him permanently.

Seriously, as of now, no, but Joey Styles is more than likely going to be the permanent lead RAW announcer.

I'd pay to see Joey Styles use the Rave Clash on JR though.

JR didn't get fired, he left to have surgery. He won't come back as an "on-air talent", but he still holds a vice president role with the company.

I find him, King, and Coach are too many announcers. Syles is just so quick at calling the moves that King and Coach almost have to fight to get some words in. Styles is a good replacement. I don't think he exaggerates as much as everyone else. Him and tazz would be a sick commentating duo. Not because of their ECW days, but because of their styles would work perfectly.

I haven't watched much aw of late, but Styles doesn't seem to overwhelm the announce table at all, especially with King's attempts to take the frontline. Maybe that's just me though.

i was initially against styles replacing JR on the raw team, but i have really come around on Joey Styles...I like his announcing, and its a fresh voice to call the action and the moves...king should stick to being a heel announcer and it should just be the two of them, I dont care much for coach...or tazz for that matter (he is my least favorite)
