What version of The Rock do you like better?

Lets face it, we've seen alot of variations of The Rock's character. They may be subtle, but they were definitly different. Question to ya'll is, which were you particular to? Personally, i liked when he came back all 'Hollywood' out, which the intro showing LA, the hair cut, the new tat, and to me he just had a new fire in the ring, he played out more to the crowd, gave one helluva show such as the last Wrestlemania match he had with Austin. I just throughly enjoyed his character more, and i honestly do contribute that to acting career, because he seemed more confident, more relaxed.

I liked him best around the time he was feuding with Mankind, wearing that black shirt all the time.

Great heel champ.

And the ways he took the headset and started to talk during the match.

I liked him most as Rocky Maivia. He was just so damn Samoan.

I remember all he did when he was Rocky Maivia was fight The Sultan over and over again.

The short period of time when he went from The Nation to "The People's Champion" before turning into the Corperate Champion. And then back to The People's...but I liked his first run of that. Great time to be a fan of Rocky.

None really. I never really liked him to be honest. Ever. But if I HAD to chose, I would chose Corporate Rock.

Man, I remember how great it was when I was a huge fan of Rock in the Nation, it seemed everyone else hated him, and when he slammed HHH on the ladder at Slam 98 for the elbow, when he slowly looked up, the fans in MSG went apeshit. After the move, for the first time, there were chants of "Rocky" without the "sucks". I wonder if that would happen if John Cena did the Five Knuckle Shuffle...

Any time Rock was a heel is great, although I really enjoyed face Rock too.

I personally disliked the "Hollywood" Rock character. He started to kind of get "soft" just prior leaving for Hollywood. When he was corporate champ, and then face afterwards, he was cocky and cool. Spoke in third person, thought he was too cool for Mankind and all. Then when he started smiling more and became more of a nice guy, then the whole Rock thing got bad.

The last time I remember seeing him on wrestling was during some lame diva search thing. He was so bad. He did his pootang pie ritual, but he wasn't the same Rock. I was a fan of his back in the day, but I don't think he can ever go back to that Rock. And I certainly don't want that phony Rock-wannabe coming back, so I'd rather he just not return to WWE at all. That's just me.

Hollywood Rock

Especially when he sung in concert.

"This aint sing along with the champ"

Stickman 12-01-2005 01:34 PM

My favourite is the Rock in the WWE fulltime.

DominateR 12-01-2005 03:57 PM

My personal fave is when he went over to RAW from SD! and EB gave him his new vid/music, which were waaaaaaaaay more original than his other generic Rock music, which was just basically different variations of his catchphrase and some very subtle music changes, but the heel rock c. late '02-early '03 were the bomb!
