Dare I say it? I think TNA is getting better (spoilers for this past Sat night)...

Seems like the last couple weeks, TNA is getting better slowly with the programming they're putting out. I mean from the first few episodes which were terribly indy looking/ROH for the mainstream - ie straight up wrestling, little talking, etc...now they're looking a lot more like a mainstream legit company.

Negative points on tonight's show:

-Why did Roode come out and attack Christian?! Made no sense. The entire time, I thought Brown was going to come in and pounch Cage from behind, but it didn't happen. Instead Roode came in and attacked?! Where the hell does that make sense?! :wtf:

-Jarret; as always, nuff said.

-The X Division match...I didn't feel it for some reason. They really need to give them more character instead of guy a vs. guy b.

The rest of the show was great.

More power to them I guess.

I thought Roode attacking Christian made perfect sense. Roode made it clear that he hated Christian the minute he entered TNA. Roode was jealous of Christian because of what Demore was offering him right off the bat without 'paying dues'. The bitterness was established on the first night.

At least IMO...

And yes, Impact kicked ass tonight.

Kane Knight 12-04-2005 11:20 AM

Word. On a side note, when JJ was talking last night, who else was thinking that he should tag team with Foxworthy?

Savio 12-04-2005 01:03 PM

Roode vs christian on the thrusday special maybe.

Gertner 12-04-2005 01:10 PM

last night was the first time i've watched TNA in a while. Definitley getting better.

Boondock Saint 12-04-2005 03:06 PM

DVR'd it. Good to hear it's worth checking out.

Last week qwas better, but this was right up there. Two solid weeks in a row...Really gives me hope.

Mr. Nerfect 12-04-2005 05:10 PM

Bobby Roode attacking Christian Cage makes perfect sense. 1) They have been enemies since The Four C's entered TNA and 2) Bobby Roode could very easily be passed off as jealous of Christian.

I really hope Spike TV gives TNA two hours for Impact! in the new future. They've proven with their one-hour shows and PPVs that they can handle it, and it would go even further to establishing them as a legit promotion. Maybe give them a two-hour show and a one-hour in the same week? I think they could honestly handle it.

All TNA really needs, IMO, is that top star that can come in and make it seem like TNA is the real deal. I'm not saying that they're not, but WCW did take guys like Hulk Hogan. I think TNA should be on the phone to Chris Benoit in regularly in regards to his WWE contract. TNA needs to make their own top stars, but they do need previously established talent to help provide the guidelines of where these performers are in regards to the WWE's top superstars.

Four C's? Hey, maybe we can call CC's finisher the "C-4."

Nah, the WWE would sue because Paul Burchill uses a backflip uranage called the C...wait, he does an armbar these days? *approves idea*

Maybe that Reverse Tornado DDT he does could take up the name?

Kane Knight 12-04-2005 07:59 PM

Yeah, I do't think Burchill's used anything but "Shoulder breaker 4" into "Armbar 7."

The Naitch 12-04-2005 08:02 PM

just turn Christian into the next Rock

Kane Knight 12-04-2005 08:04 PM

Make him black?

McLegend 12-04-2005 08:40 PM

It's good to see Alex Shelly getting personality something the X-divison needs.

Indifferent Clox 12-04-2005 08:45 PM

Rhino's already done the job once again, and JArrett's on top now.

Londoner 12-05-2005 08:42 PM

I don't fucking believe it.

Londoner 12-05-2005 08:44 PM

I can't believe im saying this, but TNA's creative team is far worse than the WWE's.

Kane Knight 12-05-2005 08:59 PM

I don't know why you don't fucking believe it.

Londoner 12-05-2005 09:12 PM

Because when Rhino won it, I thought they were actually going to do something with it this time.I've lost all faith in TNA now.

That's what happens when you let a wrestler on the booking team.

Oh yeah...they did that.

He was the secondary plan. Nash was going to job, then he got "sick."

Londoner 12-05-2005 09:17 PM

Who is the wrestler on the TNA creative team, JJ?

So basically I was right, TNA is just JJ's toy to play with.

More or less spot on. Sadly, we all keep hoping they'll get serious, and thheir program has picked up, but he's basically a poor man's Triple H. The major difference? Even a Trips reign can't tank the WWE.

That was over a month ago. If you're not following TNA enough to know that Rhino lost the title at the Impact after Bound for Glory, then you probably didn't have a lot of "faith" in them to begin with.

Let's be fair. TNA's on at a really shitty time. It hurts viewership and it hurts interest, whether or not you have faith in them.

Maybe you should shut the fuck up and think first before you post. Were a bit behind over here in the UK as far as TNA shows are concerned, i've only just seen bound for glory.
