Bloodsport: ECW's Most Violent Matches
So we know that this is an upcomming DVD release, but what matches do you think will be put on it?
|
Hopefully a Sandman/Raven match, An Awesome/Masasto match. I heard Jericho PB 2, Scorpio, and Douglas had an awesome 40 min 4 corners match.

When is it coming out? I know Superstar Graham and 2005 PPV sets come out on the 17th.
|
I hope they put the Eddie Guerrero/Dean Malenko series on there.

I hope some stuff that I haven't seen is in. Anything with people outside of WWE would be great, especially Raven...
So, who sees Sadistic coming out of retirement for this thread? :shifty: Sadistic: NEW JACK!!!!111!11!!! |

I doubt it. I don't thik the E would show the fact that they were more than garbage.

Who's PB 2? |
Pit Bull 2
|
Pit Bull no.2
|
I think the 2 matches guaranteed are
Sabu vs. Sandman - Stairway to Hell Sabu vs. Terry Funk - no roped Barbed Wire You can't have a "Brutal ECW matches" collection without those 2. |

If you want to see the Four Corners match, then just buy ECW Path of Destruction which came out a few years ago. |
There has to be an Awesome vs. Tanaka match.
I'd say their most brutal ECW one was the one from ECW on TNN (Dec 24 1999). My second choice would be their one from Heatwave 98. |
A friend of mine told me Axl and Ian Rotten had a bloodbath of a match.
|
Taipai Death Match

The Tie Pay Deathmatch (clearly misspelled) was very bloody. The match was pure garbage, but the build up gave a reason behind the brutality, so its good garbage in my book.
|
For those who dont know. A Tai Pai deathmatch involves both wrestler wrapping their hands in tape, dipping them in glue, and then covering them with shards of broken glass. Like Destor said, pure garbage. But B-R-U-T-A-L.
|
Anyone think they will do a Bloodbath style presentation with Styles and Tazz or just be all matches?

I hope they put the Sabu/RVD stretcher match on the DVD, crap finish but its still a classic in my book. |
As big of an ECW mutant as I was (in all honesty, I'm probably the biggest one on the board) I'm really and truly not looking foward to this dvd. The dvd is going to be the exact opposite of what I remember ECW for, and what I wish other people saw EcW for. :(
|
Obviously there will be an Awesome/Tanaka match on there, hopefully it will be the one from november to remember 99.

Great match, but I already own it, but I believe WWE will put it on here to complete the RVD/Sabu trilogy of matches that everyone talks about in 96. |
Its coming out Feb 7th, same day as New Years Revolution and DOOM with the Rock in it.
|
I want to say that it's probably just the title of the DVD and won't neccesarily constitute what is "violent" or not, but yeah, it'll probably be all the shitty weapon-fest matches that ECW had from time to time.
A "Best of" compilation must be in the works. There's way too many great ECW WRESTLING matches that need to be seen. |

The Heatwave '98 main event (Devon/Buh Buh/Big Dick Vs. Sandman/Dreamer/Spike) wasn't a great match but was bloody as fuck.. |
I've seen some old ECW DVDs on store shelves... All compilations though.
|
I've looked and was told by some dude at Suncoast that WWE owned the rights and were going to rerelease all of them sometime down the road..
|
Anything they have left they can legally sell. They just can't sell anything that was made after the buy-out.
|
I already have "born to be wired" on tape, so it wolud be cool to see the other matches.
|
I'm expecting the Mass Transit incident to be on it. Probably one the the Corino bloodbaths... Maybe his one with Tajiri....
