Russo, that is.


The Vince Russo autobiography has just been released by ECW Press. I am currently reading it and it's interesting to note that Russo takes credit for coming up with the spot where Shawn Michaels puts Bret Hart in the Sharpshooter, setting up Hart getting screwed in Montreal. Russo claims he didn't know if Michaels was in on it, but was and Vince McMahon protected him by keeping his distance that night. So, now we have another person taking the credit for the idea as Shawn Michaels says he suggested it to McMahon, while other accounts have McMahon declaring they needed to do it. This is really getting to be like the JFK magic bullet and the 10,001 theories. I'm waiting for the tell all book that declares Bret did it to himself.

Yes, yet another Montreal thread.

Foley's book says that when Mick accused Russo of being in on it, Russo was, and I'm paraphrasing..."hurt worse than anything else in his life", as Russo was completely innocent of the deception. And as Russo isn't a road agent, he would have had nothing to do with the match formulating. So I'm guessing he's lying out of his ass.

My money is on him saying he turned around WCW's ratings as well.

He's not taking credit for anything other than the Sharpshooter spot according to that.

Even then, he wouldn't be a part of that, the road agent would (and it was long speculated that Pat Patterson was the one that suggested it, and he was in a meeting the night before with the people that were expected to have come up with it).

HA HA! I would love that. It does seem like it is getting down to where Bret is gonna eventually say it was one big swerve and he was in it the whole time, lol.

After all these years, Russo makes this claim. Ah well, he's a "born again Christian". Those can't EVER lie, right?

7 years people...SEVEN FUCKING YEARS! Get over it. Although I do find it funny that 7 years ago, everyone was trying to blame everyone else...and now it's like a birth right to claim the thrown of Screwing Bret.

haha, that would be a funny segment on Raw. Russo, McMahon, Michaels, Patterson, and anyone else arguing in the ring about who came up with it, when suddenly...
