Rate the Tag Team - Week 38 - The APA

http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com...s/a/apa/11.jpg

Ok boys and girls we're back with Week 38 of Rate the Tag Team. Last time we rated the ECW team of The Pitbulls. They scored pretty damn low with a 53. That puts them at the bottom of the barrell, ah well.

I had a request for this next team and I am here for you guys so here we go.

This team really got started when they joined the Ministry of Darkness with The Undertaker. They were used as lackeys as was the rest of The Ministry. The Ministry later disbanded and they went on to form an agency. This agency gave you protection while they drank beer and played cards. They has their little office with a door and no walls and had some great comedic skits. The team was eventually forced to split when they were drafted to seperate brands. They rejoined for a short while until one member retired. This is the former 3 time WWE tag team champions, THE APA!

I'd give them a 7. They really co-existed well.

Taker Fan 12-14-2005 05:13 PM

Yea, I'll say a 7 also.

Joey Slugs 12-14-2005 05:18 PM

their backstage skits alone get them a 10 from me.

Jordan 12-14-2005 06:12 PM

They really were special, their backstage stuff was always entertaining. From Cyrus's "Acolytes" to members of the Minestry of Darkness to the APA they really were great together. They were given more a chance to shine on the mic than in the ring, which is unfortunate because they are both really good. I'd give them an 8.

Throwing down a seven for them. I think they should have been in the eight to eight and a half range, but far to many big one zeros were given out, so to balence (since I don't think they deserve a top ten spot) my final answer is...

Thanks heaps Hurricane.

I give them a big fat 10 out of 10

8.

Their in-ring work was sub-par at times.

AJHayes 12-15-2005 10:17 AM

I'd give a 9. You could always count on them for quality backstage stuff (I laughed my ass off A LOT) and their ring work was consistent with the gimmick.

The Gooch 12-15-2005 11:12 AM

Workrate probably a 5
Entertainment factor a 9

Average 7

Damn!

LK 12-15-2005 11:15 AM

Good chemistry between the two in segments. Never was to impressed with their in-ring skills but maybe I'm being harsh since there was few really good teams back then. I give them a 7.5.

Destor 12-15-2005 12:39 PM

Rarely got in done in the ring, but pulled their weight in several classic backstage segments. I never was a fan and always thought as a team they held each other back. I generously give them a 6.5.

hb2k 12-15-2005 12:50 PM

6.5 also. Hilarious backstage characters, but were never the team, and not good enough wrestlers too merit a higher score from me.

dablackguy 12-15-2005 01:09 PM

6.5 Very entertaining and they were a good match for each other but not particularly good wrestling skills

They seemed to just click together. Loved the backstage stuff and actually enjoyed when they wrestled together but oddly not when they were wrestling singles. If I may make a request i'd liek to see the briscos followed by the briscoes be done.

Brilliant tag team.

One of my favourites.

Acolyte Protection Agency was pure genius!

Astley316 12-20-2005 07:47 AM

Backstage they were great, however in the ring they were never given a real long consistant run that a legendary tag team deserves so even tho they were one of my fave tag teams, gonna have to give them a 6.5
