Top 5 of 2005
My Top 5 Movies of 2005
|
i think your computer wigged out and posted everything 5 times
anyway, i didnt get to the movies much this year...but I remember seeing... Kong Wedding Crashers harry potter star wars batman begins Actually thats all I was able to make it out to see...so i guess there you have it in no particular order |
Wedding Crashers.
That's all I've seen from this year. |
1. Sin City
2. The Devil's Rejects 3. The 40-Year-Old Virgin 4. Lord of War 5. Jarhead |
1. Sin City
2. Crash 3. Batman Begins 4. 40 Year Old Virgin 5. Star Wars: Episode 3-Revenge Of The Sith |
No particular order:
Chronicles of Narnia: LWW Batman Begins Walk the Line Sin City Star Wars Episode III/Charlie and the Chocolate Factory |
In no real order
Star Wars III Wedding Crashers Charlie and the Choclate Factory The Island Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire Top 5 I haven't seen yet Walk The Line Rent Sin City Brokeback Mountian Good Night & Good Luck |
1. Batman Begins
2. Sin City 3. King Kong 4. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith 5. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire |
I'm sorry but I thought Revenge of the Sith was shit. I liked the final battle between Obi Wan and Anakin but the rest of the movie was pretty boring. Just throwing things together to try to end the series. Although the Matrix Revolutions was much worse in the same sense.
|
Batman Begins
The Descent King Kong Star wars episode 3 War of the worlds No order there and I'm probably forgetting a few. I actually enjoyed Star Wars though I get what Diesel means some shitty dialogue and "NOOOOOO" aside, I thought it was a big improvement on the last two. |
Sin City
Batman Begins Star Wars Episode III War Of the Worlds I only put 4 since I haven't seen King Kong yet,but I intend to. |
Sin City
Devil's Rejects History of Violence Syriana SAW 2 |
Sin City
Wedding Crashers Cinderella Man Good Night, and Good Luck. Batman Begins |
The Constant Gardener
Sin City Batman Begins Syriana Jarhead |
1.Constant Gardener
2.Crash 3.Syriana 4.A History of Violence 5.one of Stay/Sin City/Serenity/Elizabethtown Munich and Brokeback Mountain will probably get in the top 5 though |
I'd need to see a list of all the major releases this year, because I've seen a bunch of movies. I'll probably post my list closer to New Year's once I've had a chance to dig through old ticket stubs.
Serenity will be #1, though. No doubt. |
1. Star Wars
2. Batman Begins 3. 40 Yea-old Virgin 4. Wedding Crashers 5. Sin City |
Crash (my pic for Academy award, although I doubt it will even be nominated)
40 Year Old Virgin Wedding Crashers That's all I really liked from this year, for the most part. I saw Sin City and Batman Begins but I didn't really like them. I have no interest in seeing Brokeback Mountain, Walk the Line and Cinderella Man. I still want to see, Serenity, Munich, Syriana and King Kong though. |
No order.
Sin City Wedding Crashers 40 Year Old Virgin Batman Begins I guess that's it. I should also note that this isn't a strong lineup. 2-3 of those choices are simply there because they were the better ,of a bunch of weak movies. |
Syriana, which I wish to see, would undoubtedly be on that list, from what I've been hearing.
|
The Jacket
Hotel Rwanda Lord of War Crash The Woodsman |
Crash
Hustle and Flow 40 Year Old Virgin Jarhead Get Rich or Die Tryin |
No order
Batman Begins Star Wars Ep.3 40 Year Old Virgen Sin City Cant think of any other movie I really liked enough. |
1. Sin City
2. Saw 2 3. Star Wars Ep lll 4. War of the worlds 5. Domino |
In no real order:
-Sin City -Batman Begins -Jarhead -Kungfu Hustle -Memoires of a Geisha. |
1. Revolver.
2. The Weather Man 3. The Devil's Rejects 4. Sin City 5. Batman Begins/Lord of War i haven't seen Walk the Line and I've been wanting to, so dunno. Maybe it should be in there. |
alright new list, it'll change again once I see Munich I'm sure. (note pretty much the top 4 are essentially #1a through #1d)
1. Constant Gardener 2. Crash 3. Brokeback Mountain 4. Syriana 5. A History of Violence. Honourbale mention: Stay, Elizabethtown, Walk the Line, Serenity, Sin City, The Weatherman, Lord of War, Jarhead, Rent, Broken Flowers, |

OK, I just watched The Jacket.
It's my #1 movie of 2005. Great show, even if it's not made in 2005, (however it could have been) I saw it in this year and that qualifies it. |
It was released in 2005, so it counts.
|
Really good show. My brother brought it to my attention...Did you make a topic on it once? I think you did. Anyway, it's a movie that I do not remember getting any media attention or mainstream reviews. If it did, I missed them, really good show.
|
You know I posted a topic on it you giant bastard.
http://tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=36295 You should search up my other topics and watch those films too. |
Hero, maybe you should czech out this movie too: http://tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22314

Didn't see a lot of movies this year. Top 3 for me would be
Cinderella Man Crash Hotel Rwanda (was this in 2004?) |

Crash, I loved. The Jacket was pretty good, but not quite as good IMO. |

Crash?
Hmmm. The Machinist? That's the trouble living in a rather small city. All you get is the prescribed mainstream movies. I'll have to do a DVD search for these two. |
Crash is a pretty big film with a cast littered with semi-big names. Should be able to get that.
|
Crash is bent. I hate Sandra Bullock so I didn't want to see it. It was fantastic. Somewhat PC although not trying to be, but very enjoyable.
Thanks for the info ECG on Hotel Rwanda, I saw the movie this year, but if memory serves it was nominated for an Oscar so I wasn't certain of the release date. |
Here's my top fifteen, keeping in mind that there are still a bunch that I want to see, but haven't (way behind on the Oscar contenders, for example):
