Maniac Mansion Deluxe (Download here)
 

I found this and downloaded it. So I uploaded it for a few guys here (I know Loopydate liked Maniac Mansion and I'm sure there where others to). The graphics have been touched up quite a bit and there doesn't appear to be any music.I also can't figure out how to save/exit the game. So if anyone can figure out how to save/exit, let me know. I'm pretty sure there are ways to add music to games. Is there? If there is, tell me how.

Mouse - movement
Space bar - pause

Thats all I know because I'm a little busy right now so I haven't tried every button.

They went to the trouble of changing graphics and making it run. You think they would have taken 5 more minutes to slap an mp3 or two in there.

Classic Game, How do you add music, is it a simple drag and drop music into a folder?

Music's working for me

Some new controls I found
F1 switches to character 1
F2 switches to character 2
F3 switches to character 3
F5 brings up menu, from here you can save, load, or quit

right clicking with the mouse does the first action for any object you put the cursor on. For example, put the cursor over a door to immediately walk over and open it.

the menu at the bottom corresponds to some key board buttons

Q W E
A S D
Z X C

they go in order.

Give Pickup Use
Open Lookat Push
Close talkto pull

Thats what I thought and I have tried that before. Doesn't work. I had every peice of sound from the NES version on my computer and my PC wiped out everything a while back.:'( The site I got the music from no longer has them which makes it worse. Hopefully I'll have it n a disc somewhere unless you know where I can get it. My favs where the theme tune,Razor and the Maniacs theme.

Really? what did you do? I get music in the intro and thats it.

*shrugs* just started playing and the music was playing.

I unzipped it with Winrar, if that makes any difference.

Tried again, still no music. I looked at Configurations and it says this:

Now, I think it may have something to do with the Digital sound thing. Do I need to download something?

I just read on some other forum that they never made the speech pack for this. :(

I posted that message before I played the game, my game had sound from the beginning :cool:

I only get sound effects no music.:(

I see the screen perfectly so thats good. BTW I just thought, is the music only in the mansion? I havent played past the begining yet.

I have music :D. I thought it was like the NES game that has music constantly. I get music for each room :D

I finished the game with everybody, I like Wendy's Ending the best :cool:

Anyone got any ideas how to edit the sprites in this game?
