Smackdown! is unbearable now for me.

Last night, I remembered to watch Smackdown!...and in the middle of watching it...I was honestly telling myself, "this is boring as shit!" Raw and even TNA Impact were far better than SD. I don't know what it is. Smackdown! just bores me. It's not even a B show anymore..it's an F show. LOL

The storylines were so bland and predictable, every match was predictable, it felt like an 80s show with the super duper good guys vs. the evil villian.

After the draft, SD looked like it was heading in a great direction with Hassan and all, and now it's just plain terrible.

I hope they just recombine the rosters and kill off that waste of space known as SD.

I may seem harsh, but after a few mins of last night...I just couldn't take it anymore. I changed the channel and Mrs. Doubtfire was on (a movie I saw back as a kid that's so cheesy and corny), and even THAT was more entertaining than SD!

Drakul 01-15-2006 12:15 AM

I liked Ms. Doubtfire :$

Loose Cannon 01-15-2006 12:17 AM

Orton/Benoit was a tremendous match and Kurt Angle won the fucking title. Hardly boring.

PullMyFinger 01-15-2006 12:17 AM

LOL After SD, so did I. Hence why I continued to watch it. I was like WOW, I never thought that would happen.

I knew Kurt was going to win - that's prob what bored me.

Eh, I'm not digging the whole Benoit and Orton thing. Reason why is...Orton used to be my favorite in 2004...but ever since he won the WHC last year, his career went downhill in my eyes. First, he was made to look like shite. Second, those seizures or whatever he was having. Third, his injury - not his fault. Fourth, his 10+ ongoing saga with Undertaker. When I saw Orton, it was like the same shit again for me.

Mr. JL 01-15-2006 12:24 AM

I got back from work, turned on the Score to watch some Smack Down! and I was treated to the Boogeyman chewing on that girl's 'mole'. I turned off the TV immediately and found something better to occupy my time with.

McLegend 01-15-2006 12:28 AM

Come on that was great. Easily one of the best moments in the history of wreslting. Boogyman is amazing.

Also I really liked the Orton/Benoit match. Pretty good psychology.

I don't know, but knowing the results of a match before I have seen it has never really bothered me. I would watch it just to see how they it all came about.

Yeah, I'd find his complaint a little more valid another week.

Nervous Ferret 01-15-2006 12:32 AM

yeah the fact that I know the results before the show drives me crazy. Also I'm never around on Friday night anyway. But the three times I've seen Boogeyman <3<3<3<333333

Loose Cannon 01-15-2006 12:34 AM

is Bush coming to NY Ferret? :naughty:

yea, the Boogeyman thing was cool. I love his dance thing.

Nervous Ferret 01-15-2006 12:37 AM

I hope so.
4th pick + Abraham + another pick/ player to be named later = Bush!!!!

if not Deangelo Williams out of Memphis is a safe bet :o

Nervous Ferret 01-15-2006 12:38 AM

or maybe Mawae if Houston actually addresses their problem

Nervous Ferret 01-15-2006 12:45 AM

or unless Houston takes Young, Nawleans Leinhart, Tennesse Mario something (pass-rusher). :(

Actually, I thought SD was enertaining this week. I enjoyed the matches, and seeing Kurt Angle as the WHC really made my day, even though we all knew that was gonna happen.

PMF, you were one of the many people that were originally hoping that they raped SD of all their good talent during the draft lottery (for a reason I forgot now). Not saying anything about it being bad or anything, but that's the reason why I'm not surprised in the least that you would say something like this. Why would you be surprised at someone not liking something when you know that they didn't like it that much to begin with.

I still think unifying the rosters is the wrong idea. They're getting to have alot of people on the roster (too many) once more, and unifying them would just make matters worse right now, since they would only have half of who they have now that they could squeeze in and give attention to when they only have one roster set. I kind of like the split the way it is right now (albiet SD does need to get a few more talent pushes for the people they are losing, like the late and great Eddie and now the injured Batista, not to mention Mr. Kennedy).

CharismaInjection 01-15-2006 04:11 AM

I'd understand if you were talking about this a couple of weeks ago. But this Smackdown was special, NEW US Champion, NEW WHC Champion. Both great matches.

NeoGeo 01-15-2006 04:41 AM

hmmm... would this be the first time a new WHC was crowned on smackdown?

CharismaInjection 01-15-2006 05:21 AM

yeah.

Last time was the WWE Championship in 2003 when Lesnar defeated Angle.

I said they should move all the big names to Raw because SD on Fridays will be forgetful. And it's true...I forget half of the time that it's even on.

I don't know, maybe I am being a little harsh...but I just can't stand Smackdown. The quality doesn't seem as good as Raw, there's almost nothing exciting it seems, and it feels like an 80s show.

I'm aware that a lot happened on the last one too, but I was bored by even that.

hb2k 01-15-2006 12:41 PM

That Boogeyman thing was stupid. The mole has a smooth base...go figure....I'm down with his dance though...

Indeed they were, but i think what the orginal poster was tryin to get across is that he feels, while those matches were good, that they were a bit "Forced". Suddenly new WHC AND Us champ in one night after a huge slump of shit for the past few months? Kinda like hittin on an attractive women who you know is intrested in you, but you lay it on a little to thick. IDK i just felt they were tryin to make up for a shitty past few months in one night, and im willing to bet my bottom dollar ( ONE dollar) that next weeks smackdown isnt half as a appealing.

PullMyFinger 01-15-2006 02:09 PM

Yeah, I mean this is all my personal opinion and all. And yes, that's exactly how it all felt...force and rushed. Every SD feels empty and yesterday was sorta like "oh shit let's create a massacre."

That pretty much sums up how I fell about it also.I watched it because of Batista, and THE F'n BOOGIE MAN.Other wise I find something better to do on Friday nights.

ThruTheWire 01-15-2006 03:24 PM

Smackdown was great.

Eunos 01-15-2006 04:03 PM

I honestly think as of Late that Smackdown has actually been better than Raw.

I totally dig that movie. Robin Willams is such a great actor, but that's for another forum.

The MAC 01-15-2006 04:35 PM

smackdown is much better than it used to be..but thats not saying much. Its still better than TNA though.

The whole theme of smackdown doesn't fill the arena the way RAW does. and importing stars from raw only makes them less of stars when they join smackdown.

John la Rock 01-15-2006 04:40 PM

Smackdown should be LIVE!!!!

too many people read spoilers and don't care

Nervous Ferret 01-15-2006 04:42 PM

I concur

LivingDead 01-15-2006 05:09 PM

I wanted to see Angle win the title but I didn't even end up watching smackdown. I didn't want to sit through other garbage and now I'm glad I didn't.

Stickman 01-16-2006 05:43 PM

I say it time and time again, Smackdown is shit and has been for years.

The Greater Power 01-16-2006 05:56 PM

Seeing Angle holding the title above his head was just awesome.

SD was worth watching just for Benoit/Orton and the Boogeyman. Angle winning the title was just an extra thing we got.

RAW tonight will be off the hook though.

Kane Knight 01-16-2006 06:02 PM

There was some good shit. Though the Boogeyman bit dragged.

Mr. Nerfect 01-16-2006 06:48 PM

SmackDown! can be good, but recently it has been letting me down slightly due to the lack of originality the matches show.

Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. MNM has be done thrice in recent weeks. Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton has been done thrice. They're good matches, but that's why God invented the gimmick match, so we can spice these things up and move the feuds along in the process.

The next time they do Chris Benoit vs. Randy Orton, they should make it a Submission Match, or a Steel Cage Match. The next time MNM face two opponents three times, each match should be under different tag rules. Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. MNM in a Leader's Tag Team Match, where each team nominates a leader, and only that wrestler can be pinned or forced to submit, adds a slight, yet every present originality to the match. Much better than generic Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. MNM 2.

Then you're not that honest, are you now?

Corkscrewed 01-16-2006 08:15 PM

I just think it sucked that there were only two matches. TWO.

I mean, how the heck does that happen anyway?

Honestly, Raw's pretty shit right now. The main event scene is horrible, with a lteral move from John "I pooped my pants" Cena to Edge "Angry Face" ...Uhh...Edge...The undercard's pretty weak...

And Hell, even Kurt Freakin' Angle isn't Raw Exclusive now apparently.

Hired Hitman 01-16-2006 11:16 PM

You opinion is noted, I however disagree, I like how smackdown is right now, I would love for it to be better, but it is still good enough.

The MAC 01-17-2006 05:55 AM

smackdown full of fucken balloon heads
