So I went to buy GTA: San Andreas tonight....

Drive around for like 45 minutes trying to find it, and I finally find it at Wal Mart. The guy says I have to be 18 to buy it too. I'm 17. That's bullshit. I have every right to play a video game. That just pisses me off so much. I wanted to spit right in his face and say "That's not cool." but I didn't. It's just fucking BS that I can't buy it. :foc:

I did tell him in a nursery rhyme how I felt though. I said "These are my pants, the color of grass. Open it up and kiss my ass."

LOL

Uhh, you realize that every major game retailer is carding people for San Andreas these days? Get it off of the internet..

He was doing his job. He works at Wal-Mart so odds are he isn't the most qualified person for a good job. He didn't want to risk losing his job just so some punk teenager could get their jollies.

Still doesn't matter, M rated games (and technically R rated movies) can't be sold to anyone under 17, not 18. They were wrong.

HeartBreakMan2k 01-18-2006 10:06 PM

Yeah, game is officially AO so ya know, gotta be 18 with ID.

It's AO now, not M

Xero 01-18-2006 10:17 PM

Not anymore, they pulled the AO version and rereleased it as an M game (minus the Hot Coffee content). Wal-Mart and almost all big named stores that sell games don't sell AO games in-store anyway.

I still can't get that Hot Coffee shit right.

You just can't please a woman these days. :(

You are a huge fag. Thats like you going to a bar and complaining when they don't let you destroy your own liver. IT'S YOUR LIVER FFS WHY SHOULD THEY CARE!

The Mackem 01-19-2006 07:26 AM

My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

So they don't get sued.

What's funny is they actually flag it on the register stating the customer must be 17.

I don't expect much from Wal-Mart, but I didn't think basic reading and comprehension was beyond them...

Well now you know better.

TerranRich 01-19-2006 05:09 PM

You need a body and method of pedestrian transportation to work there. That's about it.

Funky Fly 01-19-2006 05:16 PM

Technically, the store has every right to decide whether to sell you the game or not.

If they decide to make grapes available to those 18 or over because they remind children too much of balls, it's their choice.

Suck it up and buy online.

Champion of Europa 01-19-2006 06:06 PM

When I was younger, I'd always go up to the like 20 year old guy who didn't really care about his job. Those types don't card shit.

Requiem 01-20-2006 06:47 AM

I think it's funny when places card me for anything. I never got carded for smokes before I turned 18.. suddenly I turn 18, and all these places are carding me for stupid things like rated R movies.
