For this Monday's episode of RAW, previews on the USA Network are saying to tune in to "Find out who shocked the world to earn a main event title shot at Wrestlemania".

The preview refers to this Sunday's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Does the wording of the preview suggest that the winner of the Rumble will be a shock?

Doubt it, On the monday after NYR the're little preview said. "Find out who survived the chamber and went home WWE Champion."

I can't see Rey winning it after getting absolutely no momentum on SD. Orton I'd sorta put in the same boat, because he tapped. Benoit perhaps?

Or maybe it'll be HBK. Since this seems to pertain to RAW, that'd be the good dark horse bet.

Then again, Hacksaw Jim Duggan's dark horse bet is Chavo...

You are right. He ain't getting the belt at mania (at least not as the plan right now is).
