The orignial plan for the Royal Rumble was to have Big Show, Kane, Orton, and HHH the final four in the Ring, with Show eliminating Kane and Kane coming back in the ring eliminating Show setting up Kane vs. Big Show at Wresltemania. Orton and HHH's feet would touch the grounds at the exact same time, setting up Orton vs. HHH in an interpromational match at No Way Out with the winner to face the champion of their choice. (Raw or Smackdown!) at Wrestlemania 22. The plan was for Orton to get over and go on to Wrestlemania and Face Angle, with HHH still facing Cena after winning a tournament on Raw. With management's recent interest in Kane, management has been reconsidering the finish for the Royal Rumble Match. Dusty Rhodes has proposed that Kane and Orton's feet could hit the ground at the exact same time setting up a fued with orton and Kane, where kane would end up jumping to Smackdown and Face Orton and Angle in a triple Threat match at Wrestlemania. Another idea was tossed that Hogan would make a surprises entrant in the Rumble, and with the help of others eliminate Big Show, which would set up Big Show vs. Hogan at Wresltmania, kane and HHH's feet would hit the ground at the exact same time setting up a fued with the two and it would end with HHH vs. Cena vs. Kane at Wrestlemania 22, and Orton would battle Angle for the WHC title.

I'd mark out if Kane won the title at Mania. I gotta say the guy deserves one real run...

Seriously, though, I would mark out like a little bitch if Kane won the Royal Rumble. None of that hitting the ground at the same time shit, though. If you want Kane to headline WrestleMania, have him toss Orton over the top rope decisively. Then the next week on SmackDown!, Orton is bitching about how he should get a World Heavyweight Title shot because he was Runner-Up when BOOM! Kane comes out and kicks Orton's ass.

They can also use this as a way to unify the Tag Team Divisions. With one-half of the World Tag Team Champions being on SmackDown!, Big Show could make the jump, as well.

At No Way Out we get:

-Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit to give us a clinic
-Kane vs. Randy Orton to decide who challenges at WrestleMania
-Booker T vs. Big Show for the WWE United States Championship

I heard it from a VERY reliable source (the same guy who told me about the ECW invasion in 2001 and the return of Flair more than 24 hours before both happened) that Rey Misterio is 50-50 right now on winning the Rumble (the other choice obviously being HHH so forget about Orton right now) and if he doesn't, he will definately be challenging for the world title at Mania.

Despite Rey Mysterio's height, he is an amazing athlete and his matches are always entertaining, I think he deserves it just as much as Orton.
