If Rey weren't eligible to wrestle for the Heavyweight title, then why would they allow him into the Royal Rumble in the first place, let alone have him win it? Also, how else would you explain Jericho going for the Undisputed Title when he did, and winning it/them?

Then again, Chyna won the I/C belt, so why would there be such restrictions on Cruiserweights?

Well, Rey has challenged for the WWE Title at least once while Brock Lesnar was champ (well, the stip was that if he won he'd get a title shot, but that still kinda counts). I know for a fact that in 1999, he faced Ric Flair for the WCW World Title on an episode of Nitro (which ended in a dq).

Aside from Rey, I can't think of a whole lot of cruisers who have been in World Title matches (not counting ECW and TNA). I know Jeff Hardy faced Undertaker while he was champ, and Hurricane fought Triple H while he was champ, but I don't remember if they were Title matches or not.

Basically you have to ask yourself this anytime you wonder if someones size will keep them from holding the belt. Check if the superstar can do these moves:

1. Moonsault
2. Shooting star press
3. top rope hurricarana
4. Catch as much air as RVD Does on the 5star.....EVERY time they jump.

Should the superstar in question be able to perform 2 or more of these manuvers then no, they will never hold the title. Due to more talent in there wrestling then the past 3 peppole to hold ANY titles it would be an over flow of talent on a title, and outside of Angle or Beniot, we just cant have that.
