And fuck what the haters say, SC3 does not cater to button mashing noobs. It makes it easy for them, but if you understand your character's abilities and have a basic understandng of the counter system, button mashers will get owned pretty quickly in a fight.

Im going to go with obvious and say Street Fighter 2 Turbo edition was and still is the greatest fighter ever.

Always wanted to play Guilty Gear. Could never find it, tho.

I had to order a second hand copy through Amazon.

Somehow Guilty Gear: Isuka, the worst of the bunch is in stores everywhere. It's gut the Guilty Gear engne, but they tried to make it into a 2D Super Smash Bros Melee and ended up having to add foreground/background set up with a button for turning around. The result was disaster.

I've always been partial to Rival Schools. I've wanted Project Justice, the sequel, for what seems like forever. Can't seem to find it anywhere besides 40 bucks on ebay, & I don't wanna pay that much. :(

Those are the only two I absolutely loved (excluding Street Fighter 2 and Street FIghter 2 Turbo)

Mortal Kombat almost, but if you take away the finishers, it's just not too impressive. I mean they're good, just not anywhere near Tekken 3 or Street FIghter levels.

Yeah, MK 2 owns MK3. MK3 was 99% dial-a-combo.

Preset combos are cool and all, but I enjoy finding ways to string things together myself.

Tekken reminds me of Hulk Hogan. There both slow, clunky, dull and repetitive in my opinion but for some reason everyone loves them an insane ammount.
Again, thats just my opinion so don't take offence.

Anyway for 2D I'd say any of the 2D Street Fighters. I wasn't a fan of the 3D Street Fighter games and I never played the game of the movie.

As for 3D, Its got to be DOA2 for me. I'm so good at it, everyone refuses to play me :cool:

If MK Armageddon lives up to the hype. It will definately be up there.

Definitely. The Mk series is getting better with age. (Of course, that's if you don't count MK4...)

Clearly we are brothers. Though honestly, I play Tekken 5 way more. In another note, Virtua Fighter is overrated. Fell off after the second one. Marvel vs Capcom 2 is probably the most fun, and Capcom ve SNK 2 the most complete as far as tech goes.

The second Virtua WAS amazing tho, i couldnt put it the fuck down...that is until the machine took my quarters.
