Well well well (SD spolier)

Awhile ago i was arguing with some about the differnce between a Royal rumble and a battle royal. He said, What makes it differnt was the royal rumble is on a PPV. We are having a rumble tonight (I win). Too bad brock loses his title at No way out.

DaveWadding 01-29-2004 08:32 PM

No. The difference between a Royal Rumble and a battle royal is that everyone starts in the ring in a battle royal.

AareDub 01-29-2004 08:59 PM

You are so wrong. I didn't say they were different because RR was a PPV. In fact I was arguing that a Royal Rumble is a battle royal. Just with modified rules and an official name. Still the same basic idea of lots of guys in the ring trying to throw each other out. Strange how you remember things totally wrong. It was you who was arguing that a Royal Rumble was different, I was arguing that it is just a different style of battle royal.

BTW zack gowen would be the best at a Royal rumble.

Let's see how many of the UK'ers read this topic title and then watch Smackdown anticipating Joel Gertner to show up...

Please explain that. Logically, the guy with only one leg would be at a pretty severe disadvantage, mainly because of a lack of balance.

Two feet must touch the floor in a Royal Rumble. Gowen only has one that can touch. :y: He was kidding.

Well... well... well... The quintessential stud muffin, Joel "Stick your hands in my pockets, and I guaranty our eyes will pop out of their sockets" Gertner.

Tsk tsk. I think you'd be able to see that one.

They'd have to patch the loophole.

loopydate 01-30-2004 12:59 AM

Maybe for Gowen, they'd just leave his prosthetic on the floor. That way, when he gets thrown out, both his feet will be on the ground.

Corkscrewed 01-30-2004 01:00 AM

LOL. That's a good one.

I hate bringing up old arguments, but well.... you were the one that brought it up. I never said you were wrong about the entrants starting in the ring and what not. I'm not stupid, I do realize that yes, they are in fact, two different matches. I still stand firm in believing they are two different variations of one style of match.

Just like a submission only match is a variation of a regular singles match. They are two totally different matches, but they are variations of the same thing.
