Mission of Burma was one of Boston's "post punk" bands, disbanded in 1983. They were a pretty influential band, with songs like "That's When I Reach For My Revolver," "Einstein's Day," and "Academy Fight Song" being covered by multiple people (But most famously, Moby and REM).

They're kind of a dissonant avant punk.
