What's more respectful?
What's more respectful while at a wrestling show... Cheering for a heel that you REALLY love or booing them for their character (which you love)?

If I really really like them, I will cheer. Otherwise, it's all about the booing of the character.

It depends. If I like him because he's working well as a heel, I will boo as a sign of respect. If his character makes me want to legitimately mark out, I will cheer.
Generally, it's more respectful to boo a heel, but if the heel is doing things that merit cheering...IT all depends. And then there's Kurt. I don't think I could boo him period. |
Kurt Angle is a god and on very few occasions have I found myself willing to boo him as I mark out everytime he does his little whoooo thing or spins ala the old days.
Or actualy even when he brings down the straps I mark out becuase you know he is gonna break someones freaking ankle or kill them some other way. Benoit is the same to me, either of them could machine gun down the Rock and I would cheer them (Steamboat reference). |
Booing of course. Heel heat.

If he's a good heel, boo. But it also depends on the face, if he sucks then I would cheer the heel.

i can't imagine myself being a smark at a live event, summerslam 2004 brought out the mark in me. I simply will cheer for who I like and boo who I dislike.
But if you go in there as a smark I guess it depends on the wrestler. Like if it's a wrestler who WANTS to be a face, you should cheer him. If it's a wrestler who loves being a heel, i suppose booing them would be more respectful. Personally, even if i was trying my best to piss off the crowd and i still got cheers, i would be pretty happy about it. |
Heels WANT to be booed. It's an easy question. I promise that heels don't want you cheering them.

There are some wrestlers who I'm a total mark for. As long as they don't turn him into a total freak I'll always cheer for Goldust. I like that persona. I know most of the fans will do what they're told (for the most part) so I don't have to worry about him turning face too soon if he was a heel.
I respect everyone who steps in the ring, and I make up my own mind while I'm watching TV with who I'll cheer for, and who I'll boo. During the whole "who is Dominic's dad" segments I always cheer for Eddie. It only works one way. There isn't anyone who I'll always boo. |
I usally cheer the really good heel performers and i don't give a fuck if it breaks kayfabe or what not. Guys like Kurt Angle, HHH, Christian, Eddie Guerrero etc deserved to get cheered because they are awesome performers
