Xero 02-14-2006 06:11 PM

What the fuck, only three WCW matches!?

PullMyFinger 02-14-2006 06:24 PM

WCW either gets ignored in WWE DVDs, or is made to look like shite on it I've noticed.

Fox 02-14-2006 06:26 PM

What matches from WCW would you want to see? I don't remember any other good matches, except possibly Goldberg vs. Hogan.

Xero 02-14-2006 06:30 PM

Goldberg/Hogan, Hogan/Giant, some nWo stuff. I can't think of anything specific right now but surely there are enough to fill one and a half hours or so.

And I have to say that if you get/expect this DVD set to have GOOD matches, you'll be disappointed. "Hogan" and "Good Match" are an oxymoron.

McDoogle 02-14-2006 06:32 PM

Im pretty sure most of his promos will be the nWo WCW days.

mrslackalack 02-14-2006 09:05 PM

It was nice that they upgraded it but.

The Good: 4 discs, AWA and WCW matches.

The Bad: Half the matches are already out on various DVDs.

Could the New Japan match be why Inoki was at Titian Towers the other day?

Maybe they made a deal for footage.

I think they just use it with permission because on the Benoit DVD it says courtesy of Inoki and New Japan

Xero 02-14-2006 09:32 PM

That's still what it could have been about. (General use of the footage or footage for upcoming releases.)

Yeah I hope so as well. Bret had said he had some New Japan matches to put on his DVD but he couldnt get the footage.

Xero 02-14-2006 09:38 PM

They should do a "Before they were WWE superstars" set with matches from other promotions other than WWE.

Not a bad idea at all.

FourFifty 02-14-2006 11:13 PM

No Hogan VS Jarrett, Bash at the Beach?

Fignuts 02-15-2006 01:26 AM

I garauntee that almost all those matches will be boring as hell. Unless you see hogan live he is incredibly boring to watch.

I got the hulk still rules dvd, and imo, that is enough.

Loose Cannon 02-16-2006 09:14 PM

probably won't be getting this as I have like al those matches already.

mrslackalack 02-16-2006 09:19 PM

Yeah only most of Disc 1 the Halloween Havoc 94 match with Flair, vs Sting at Starrcade, and the tag title win are the only matches on this DVD that have not been on any other DVD.

redoneja 02-16-2006 09:29 PM

The Halloween Havoc match with Flair isn't on a new DVD but you can get it from an old WCW VHS. I know its not common, I'm just saying.

Loose Cannon 02-16-2006 09:31 PM

I have that match on a Hogan compilation tape I got from a tape provider (I say provider cause he's not a trader)

mrslackalack 02-16-2006 09:34 PM

How good is the match? I have heard from both ends it was good and that it was bad.

Loose Cannon 02-16-2006 09:36 PM

I liked it, but I've always been more of an "entertainment" fan then a "solid wrestling" fan. It's a nice fun match. Beefcake is revealed as "The Butcher" and turns heel at the end.

Boondock Saint 02-17-2006 12:18 AM

lol Beefcake. Always has late fees. I wanna ask for his autograph but I'm afraid he'll get pissed off or something.
