bad sign that i may be thru w/wrestling

last Monday, RAW was pre-empted by the Westminster Dog Show. that used to happen back in 99-2000, in the old USA days, and i would be infuriated.

last Monday i honestly did not care. not only did i not care, i was actually kinda releived. i thought to myself "well, at least i dont have to watch wrestling."

What Would Kevin Do? 02-15-2006 07:59 AM

I'm telling ya man. Start going to Youtube, and various message boards, and start watching some Japanese matches. Great stuff. Before it was hard to keep up because you could read about it, but it was hard to see. Now though everyone's uploading shit everywhere.

If nothing else, it's a nice supplement to WWE. It's not an alternative persay, but personally, I can enjoy WWE more knowing that it's not the end all be all of wrestling.

Londoner 02-15-2006 08:20 AM

Things are falling apart with WWE, they just don't want to realise it.This is the least i've cared about it since i started watching.

Stickman 02-15-2006 01:27 PM

I'm starting to feel the same way. Maybe one segment of Raw is entertaining now. Why I dont' stop I don't know.

PullMyFinger 02-15-2006 02:00 PM

It's weird you said that, because I felt the same way. I remember during the Attitude Era, nothign used to piss me off more than the pre-emptions. Now on Monday I put on USA, to see the Dog Show. All I said was, "oh well." And in a way..like you said..I sorta felt almost relieved.

manmadeofsteel 02-15-2006 02:00 PM

wwe was better off in 1999 and 2003.

Innovator 02-15-2006 02:10 PM

ROH saved my interest in wrestling, start checking it out

Me 02-15-2006 02:39 PM

There's are plenty of alternatives. As has been said with the Internet you can get a hold of anything you're interested in. The WWE isn't the only promotion in the world; as much as everyone would like to believe Vince has a monopoly it's simply not true.

CharismaInjection 02-15-2006 03:43 PM

I don't watch Raw anymore, I can't be bothered, now I only make time for Smackdown.

Cena has made me sick of Raw.

Nervous Ferret 02-15-2006 03:51 PM

start c-fedding

It's true in the sense that he has a monopoly on US TV and old footage.

I agree, I felt the exact same way...

Wait just kidding, I am Canadian, I watched Raw.

Corkscrewed 02-15-2006 06:41 PM

Sometime last year or late 2004, I reached a point where missing a show now and then was ok (I used to watch basically ever Smackdown no matter what). From there, it's spiralled down for me too. Having read RAW Spoilers, I'm not even sure I'll catch the show tomorrow on USA.

Team Sheep 02-15-2006 07:31 PM

I thought Raw was great this week. I could barely sit through last week's.

Londoner 02-15-2006 08:03 PM

The only good thing about Raw was the HHH/Big show match, there was nothing else to talk about. And that's sad since there was a WWE title match on it...

Skippord 02-15-2006 08:11 PM

I was pissed because I have nothing to watch on Mondays

Yeah. I watch RAW and SD religiously now so when it's not on it still fucks up my schedule.

Skippord 02-15-2006 08:33 PM

So I just slept from 7-9

Kane Knight 02-15-2006 08:52 PM

It's bad when I'm trying to choose between Raw and Smallville, and Smallville looks more interesting.

Blitz 02-15-2006 10:42 PM

If they keep it in, it's not something you'll have to look for, believe me.

Xero 02-15-2006 10:59 PM

I heard that Styles made a slip and said "Tit braids" something like that...

HeartBreakMan2k 02-15-2006 11:10 PM

Yeah, ECW saved my interest in wrestling a long time ago and now with no true alternative (in my opinion, TNA isn't there yet. Just doesn't capture my attention like Lynn/Van Dam, Taz, Impact Players, etc did). ROH did it for me for a bit until I grew tired of some of their guys. My interest is at a all time low for wrestling.

Fignuts 02-16-2006 12:44 AM

Yeah I havn't watched it in about 3 months, althiugh I've kept abreast on what's going on. Needless to say, I'm not in any hurry to get back into it.

Still watch japan stuff though.

Yeah, at least with WWF Raw and WCW Nitro, there was a chance to flip channels and pick which looked better. And then ECW gave us an alternative to freshen things up.

Sadly, then, we had options, and now we have a single option which is on at a shitty time and really doesn't compare to ECW or even WCW.

Stickman 02-16-2006 12:50 AM

What botch? I missed about half an hour of raw.
